Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Yep, I bought a single one from Meijer, and don't plan on buying another. Just not worth it at that price point for me. It wasn't a good enough beer to justify a $15 bomber and two useless glasses that my fiance will probably re-purpose into a craft of some sort. Literally the only reason I bought one was because I saw them cheaper at Meijer.

 

It looks like Binny's will be selling the 22oz bottles for $8.99. I found it on their web site.

$3 a piece? Honestly as a gift set the willett at $15 isn't a bad price at all. I understand $15 being a lot for the bomber but this is meant as a gift set.

I, too, found the price to be jarring.

 

my guy at binnys mentioned the lagunitas willitized pack was part of a charity event where youths with disabilities put the gift-packs together. shows nothing of the sort on the packaging which is a shame, might have led me to buy one. 6-pack willitized was one of the highlights of 2017 for me. quality coffee ba at $12 a 6-pack...easy.

rumor has it single bottles will be ~$8 eventually, and all one-hitters including Wlado will be in a bomber format.

 

As someone who has complained about this format/packaging on this forum, yet also works with children with disabilities, I would've bought this in a heart beat if I knew my extra $ was going towards a worthy cause.

damn, Big Bad Baptista and Quadruple Baptist are excellent and so easy to get.
Love it when that happens.

 

Grabbed a quad. Gonna crack it tomorrow at the parent's house with family. Didn't grab the Baptista yet as there was so much of it laying around at multiple Binny's. I should be able to grab one in the next few weeks if I want.

 

I picked up a Quadruple, but I have only seen it one place - a lot of retail sold out of it pretty quick.

 

Triple seemed more abundant last year.

The shop I got quad at, sal’s in villa park, said they only got one case.

 

Quadrupel seems more in line with Reserve which I think was earlier in 2018. I didn't track down Reserve, and I did try.

 

PSA - Old Irving is bringing it with their Krampus Cookies release.

 

Can you imagine knocking back a Waldo’s bomber on a weeknight? Sorry work, it’s waldos season.
