its a sad day. after about 4 years running strong, my cellar freezer bit the dust. sad to see all the great labels that adorn it go, but excited to upgrade to something better. just glad it died during cooler temps, and not in the dead of summer.[IMG]

As long as your beer didn't suffer, those labels mean nothing! (just trying to make you feel better)

You going with another freezer or a stand up fridge?

still undecided, but a stand up fridge is looking pretty good right now.

If for nothing else, a stand up makes it easier to see what you have.

Taking inventory can be tough when looking at a sea of bottle caps instead of labels.

im an evolv devotee by default. their factory is about 10 minutes from my house. hard to pass up a $50 pair of climbing shoes.

I also think it’s best to stand them upright to keep any sediment at the bottom of the bottle, so the pour will be clear.

Mostly stopped buying beer and switched to bourbon/rye, but still add the occasional lambic or random bottle to the pile.

Two were trades, two I got impatient and bought at near secondary prices and the rest were bought at or near retail. I spend an unreasonable amount of time hunting the stuff, once my boat is out of the water for the winter I have some free time and use too much of it hunting stupid bourbon.

I buy more than I drink that’s for sure lol. I spend very little 9 months of the year then go a little crazy in the fall. I try to keep everything to as close to msrp as I can, this year the most I spent on a bottle was $225 for ER17.

my chest freezer/ETC took a dump on me back in december (post at the top of this page). waited and waited to find a good deal on craigslist and it finally paid off. got this virtually new full size freezer for $40!!! outfitted it with a new ETC, an extra dehumidifier and relocated some shelves in there so i could fit everything and its working great. even have room to grow, or just room for pool beers in the summer.
