Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Hi my name is Neal and I have a BA stout buying problem.

Enjoyed a McKenna BA Neckbeard Nectar on draft at The Beer Cellar this afternoon. I picked up a Gray Skies NN since it was only $29. I figured I’d keep the debit card loose and active so it’s ready for Vanilla Deth next week.

 

Anyone know if vanilla will distro the way cafe did

 

Yes I believe it said limited distro in the Rev thread. But not the other 2 beers at the 12/7 release.

 

Alright, ill get that and then im done buying barrel aged stouts this year.. probably

I doubt it will be like the abundance of Cafe were seeing. Cafe and Tar are stacked at like every Binnys right now. Cases of them. I expect the "limited distro" of vanilla will be more like code switch, with stores receiving just a few cases, and selling it by singles or pairs. At least that's how I interpret it. I believe they said cafe and tar have "wide distribution" and vanilla has the "limited distribution" tag like code switch.

 

I mean id be fine with that i just wanna try it. Got a 4 pck of tar, a currant and 2 cafe. I figure thatll last me a year. But vanilla? Yeah fine fuck it I guess i want that also right

Did you really see stores with cases of Code Switch? (that is, 2 or more) I did see very few with two, but most had one.
But yes, you and @Nbrock24 have it right just as it says in a few places (Rev website, FB, etc...)
Come on @Coons, do your research before you ask - you can Google that shit.
(I encourage you to go to the release next week on 12/7 and hold a can of each for me )

Most stores I saw got a case or two of CS, yeah. I probably could have said a couple, not a few, but the terminology works fine either way, IMO. And the point still stands about vanilla. It probably won't see a ton of distro, is all I was getting at.

 

I did but limited release can meen alot of things. I dont talk to my binnys reps or whatever enough to know whether or not they’re expecting any
