I generally think of myself as calling balls and strikes.

I've stated before that the guaranteed allocation window is a benefit that makes the Societies stands out verses other beer clubs. I know I am not the only one that values this aspect of the club. Misses like this devalue that feature and make the track record comparable to other clubs that make no pretense of a guaranteed window.

I'm not a big cinnamon beer fan, so I did even attempt to buy Churriosity. But I do understand the disappointment from those members that wanted it and found it gone within the allocation window.

Long email, on several subjects. Please forgive me in advance.

They didn't have churriosity on draft last Friday, so unlikely it'll be available . I will say, you won't be disappointed . opened up a can last night, and really enjoyed it. Great balance. Not too sweet, not too much cinnamon . (and I love cinnamon). My wife though, wished it was sweeter. Next time I open a can, I'll consume it with a churros from Costco. Those are amazing for 1.50

    S. H. I. T. With coffee, spot on with balance. Most enjoy the can format including myself.

Next year... cans of black Tuesday(and all weekdays) or small bottles please? It's on my wish list

I opened up BA share this last Sunday. Very nice especially on the price point. I think it was $20 before discount.

As others commented on cyber Monday, disappointing. Black Friday on the merch was pretty weak as well . Last year's was so good, got a bunch of dirt cheap shirts for $5-10 each.

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but still no comment of bonuses/allocation beers for spending "x" amount throughout the year ? It's nearly December. Would be nice if they would at least update to members, or say it's not happening. It's not like anyone joined this year because of the perk. But stating the perk and just ignored it ? Oh well. I've made my peace, will move on.

Has anyone shipped any Rutherford ? I sent a 12 shipper including several of Rutherford. I could barely lift it. I'm kidding, but it was quite heavy!

Got a couple Bruery boxes in the mail today and based on what you all have been saying I cracked a Churro right away. It really is a good beer, and I’m not a big fan of cinnamon. It definitely has more cinnamon than Brunch but it works. They nailed the balance on this beer.

I just don't get waiting if you want the beer, when as shown above it was there for a week only. But hey, bitch enough here and to them like Bakery and we'll get a new allocation in 2-3 weeks.

I know that I should probably just email The Bruery themselves, but might as well ask all of ya'll... has anyone ever had a keg of The Bruery beer for an event? I'm getting married next year and am trying to figure out if there is a way for me to get a keg of something simple, yet different (Or Xata seems like the obvious answer) to have at the wedding. Anyone have any thoughts of experience on the matter?

I didn’t renew my membership for 2018 but still got 3 emails within a 30 minute period today reminding me that tomorrow is the last day to join for 2019.

I’ll probably join again when they start offering everything over 10% in a smaller bottle format. Even without buying anything in 2018 I still have a ton of bottles.

I have purchased kegs in the past for summertime parties. You shouldn't have a problem getting Or Xata for your wedding, now that it is year round. I would check with your local distributor./store and double check. I live in Maryland and the routine beers are easily obtained.

Fashion the churro as a straw imo.

For the record, I was 3 for 3.

All three non-sours sound like home runs.

    The Crumbfather
Coffee cake is the inspiration for this barrel-aged Pastry Stout. Roasted pecans bring the nuttiness with some warming spice notes from the cinnamon and hints of vanilla to evoke the sweet glaze you'd drizzle on top.

    ABV 15.1%
    QTY. 2

    Glühwein Black Tuesday
Taking inspiration from a German mulled wine served around the holidays (it's pronounced gloo-wine, by the way), we started with our Napa Cab barrel-aged Black Tuesday and added warming spices and citrus to bring all the good cheer.

    ABV 18.9%
    QTY. 2

    Melange Noir
This beer's incredible complexity comes solely from blending. Barley Wine adds toffee notes, Black Tuesday adds bourbon and dark fruit, and Anniversary contributes rich melanoidins and fine French oak toastiness from the barrels. With no additional ingredients added, it's noir through and through.

    ABV 17.2%
    QTY. 2

    Call Him Andy
This fruit-forward medley of flavors started with a masterfully crafted Blended Sour Ale which was then aged in oak barrels with peaches, apricots, and raspberries. An ode tot he newest (and tiniest) member of Famille Rue.

    ABV 6.5%
    QTY. 2

    Dark Rain
We took our classic Tart of Darkness and sheltered it in the Chocolate Rain barrels, adding black currants, cocoa, and vanilla to the stormy mix. The result is a uniquely tart and decadent ale that will warm you even on the darkest night.

    ABV 10.3%
    QTY. 2

    Train to Miami
We were en route to Beersel but caught a last-minute connection to Miami when we made this beer. We started with our award-winning Imperial Sour Blonde Ale, Train to Beersel, aged in oak barrels, and just for fun, tossed in a tropical punch bowl of dragonfruit and passionfruit.

    ABV 9.1%
    QTY. 2

This sounds fantastic! I wonder if this replaces the strawberry and/or orange wheatwine releases they teased at the start of the year?

As we approach the end of the year: did we ever get an explanation of why the Hoarder's Cuvees are no more? Not a super big thing, but I am sad to see them go...

Hopefully because they generally were not good. Forcing blends didn't always make a better beer from the parts. I wish they would have allowed for single beer + additives as entries because we'd likely have had better offerings.

If we kill of Cuvees and keep the HS boxes rolling I am a happy customer

I think a lot of us feel this way, but maybe we shouldn’t say it out loud when Bruery can hear haha
