Title pretty much says it all. It's that time of the year where eggnog is stocked in local grocery store fridges. As a fan of the stuff myself, I was wondering if there are any beers that are made with eggnog or has eggnog infused somehow. In the time of milkshake NEIPAs and pastry stouts, I wouldn't think it unlikely.

Search eggnog in the BA beer search and I bet you find all kinds of disgusting beers. Btw, I like eggnog. Eggnog beer sounds horrid, like vomiting in reverse.

To each their own I suppose. I think an eggnog inspired stout would be great. I'll try the search as you mention, thanks.

Whatever you do don’t waste your money on Evil Twin Eggnog IPA. Like you, I love eggnog. Consider this post a PSA.

If you find one that hits the spot I look forward to you comments.

A stout may be ok, probably would be a little too sweet for me. Apologies for seeming so revolted. I've heard of a couple strange styles using eggnog, those came to mind first for some reason. (Like the IPA mentioned by the gent above)

I think a quality egg nog stout/porter would be fantastic. The flavors are already out there- vanilla, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg. If you can deal with a pumpkin beer you will love an egg nog beer. Don't let the "egg" in egg nog turn you off, a lot of egg nog today has no egg. However, keep it with the sweeter, malt-forward beers and away from anything with the letters IPA!

Great point. My mind combines egg with beer and comes up with rancid farts. Didn't think about just adding the other flavors in. I was thinking about it all wrong.

Haven't had it in a while, but maybe adding the right spices to southern tiers creme brulee would be a good way to get the flavors he's seeking. That is if another egg nog beer isn't available.

Would much rather have eggnog ice cream.

Exactly, it would be very similar to ST Crème Brulee, with a tweak or two. A very worthy dessert beer.

Eggnog beer would be a hard pass for me. But that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors. Something for everyone.

In my opinion, egg nog and bourbon is a great combo. I still like to taste the bourbon, so about 4:1 is the sweet spot.

It’s local here not sure it gets sent too far. I had one as a gift and did not hate it but would not buy another.

Not sure what eggnog taste like but I got marshmallow and vanilla in this beer

    Enjoy

My head just exploded. Get out and get a little jug of eggnog man! It's delicious, like dessert in a glass.

I'm not familiar with beer made from eggnog, but some stouts have lactose added, and there are all sorts of spiced beers this time of year. Personally though, I'd rather have my egg nog without hops and malt. Happy holidays!!
