Scorpion Drawer DIPA (8.3% abv) from Moustache Brewing...
Double dry hopped with Jarrylo, Comet, and Azacca hops, and brewed with lactose and honey... Not sure what the name connotes...

    A cash register drawer-making company?
Anyways, expectedly sweet - suggests honey dripped over ripe oranges and crisp pears - quite lovely, really... Bitterness is not irrelevant, though I'd still describe it as "mild"... Feel is soft and smooth, leaning toward lush, with floral aromas of tropical and citrus fruits on the nose, and maybe even a hint of herbal spice on the finish...

A very nice beer - and even though on paper it might sound like a lot of the fruity New England-type IPAs out there, something about it sets it a bit apart - perhaps it is the unusual hop combination or the use of lactose and honey?

Gonna be finishing it with dinner...

Starting to look pretty familiar, no? lol

    Cheers...

A minor accomplishment at work today, but one that was held up for too long. Good enough reason to have a reward beer, for work well... done; finally :no_mouth:

Solaris Rye, a wonderful surprise beer from Portkand that I hope they continue to make, with availability scheduled for the next visit we make to Baerlic.

I don’t often stop here, but I’m at Cricket Hill Brewery having their Black Rye IPA, which is a Black Ale, and I think it’s really done well. Plus I’m one of the dozen Black Ale lovers. Cheers

Enjoyed Jai Alai on tap with lunch (pizza!), and now my one-and-done for this fine Tuesday evening: Basement IPA.

This tastes like booze soaked baklava. I like it, but the next bottle I drink (it came in a three pack), I'll share. Didn't realize it's from a French brewery. @Shanex have you had this one?

Probably because most « local » is overpriced shit and Sierra Nevada is still a top notch brewery?

I have had this one some years back. Not a fan. I wonder how it even made it your way? Trade? Local store?

While I don't drink a lot of SN, I would never disrespect their pedigree or find it funny that another beer lover enjoyed their products. Nor do I disparage anyone for not liking what they produce. To each their own. Cheers!

Now indulging in a Sierra Nevada Fresh Hop Double IPA. Kind of strange first (earlier) had the Fresh Hop IPA. Went to rate both and they say they are retired. Both cans I have are dated 10/25/18. Help says to report on the update link. I say ok if I could find it. All that aside a couple of damn good beers SN. Waiting to try Resilience.

Precisely. I already stated in different threads on BA my stance about buying « local craft », good for these fan boys. I buy what I think is good and affordable. Cheers and welcome back Hunter.

Showed up at my local store in a three pack, beer lady there was interested but unwilling to buy it. She knew I'd do it (I'll try most anything once).
