It does look desperate. We all know that limited availability equals hype and more people wanting it.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, The Bruery isn't mega hype beer anymore. They make solid beer otherwise we wouldn't be here, but it's not the ISO brewery it used to be.

I like BT and all, but why they haven't made a big, viscous pastry stout is beyond me. You have to keep up with the trends.

Curious to get included bottle receipt for one bottle of Rhone Blanc... was expecting those last two bottles of Hoarder's Cuvee. I wonder if the cuvee batch failed and they're doing this instead? Not really a fair trade in my opinion (both in value and non-sourness).

    Valise 2.0?

EDIT - NM - this must be the sub for Spontanaheim

Helpful reminder for thread: email said Rhone Blanc is NOT an allocation, it's first come first served.

So don't whine when you can't buy any on Friday.

So, what happened to Atta Boysenberry? Is Rhone the only allocation for RS? And I assume that 12/10/18 will be the 12 days sale?

I've got to put together a can shipment and was saving a couple of spots for Atta. If it's not coming soon, I'll have to fill it with something else.

Assuming it must be the now-common mid-month allocation on the third Monday? Same with Hoarder Cuvee?

Yea, I'm pretty sure Hoarder Cuvee isn't coming... If it is, that would be really weird that they subbed out the last HS beer...

It’s a beer/wine hybrid so doubt there’ll be high demand

Well, the thing is, if Cuvee was cancelled they'll presumably be issuing us a couple archive bottles of something on hand. If so, why wait to do that?

That trademark website someone shared earlier this year shows Spumoni Black Tuesday being approved recently, but could just be a taproom release.

If you look at the bottom of the allocations email at the picture with "12.10.18" on it, it'll literally answer every question all of you have posted about beer today.

Wax Your Own station set up in the SMM tasting room today. Didn't hear a word about that and haven't seen a single person dipping bottles yet.

No timed archive bottle pours, either. Server will give you a taster if you ask, tho.

Did you ask if you can dip your Churriosity cans?

Yountville Cabernet grape prices are pretty expensive. The average price per ton in 2016 was ~$6,800, 1 ton of grapes gives you ~2 barrels of wine, or 120 gallons. Low price was $500, high price was $59,375, Yountville Cabernet will see a good price per ton.

I come from a wine background, and I don't tend to purchase anything of that price point without being able to taste it, or having reliable tasting notes.

    This sounds incredibly pretentious.

Who do you want to give tasting notes on beer/wine? Robert Parker?

FWIW, I didn’t read it as pretentious at all. I read it as “That’s a significant amount of money, and I would rather not spend it on something I haven’t already tried myself or heard is good from a source I trust.” That seems pretty reasonable to me.

I think @husbunny you very much misread that. He's not saying "his" tasting notes, he's saying he'd like to hear a recommendation from someone not paid by the winery, or taste it, before spending $60+. Napa is great but there's plenty of very overpriced wine there too (not junk but you're paying for the label, not the liquid).

If you are not at the winery that opportunity is not usually there, but I'd rather buy something after tasting it, than sight unseen. Although sometimes when you bring it home and the romance of the winery is gone, it doesn't taste quite as good.

So for those of us who still can't get The Bruery to put us on the right email list, what are the answers?

I only get Offshoot emails, nothing else. Which are the emails I don't want. Irritating as hell.

Looks like Christmas beers year 4-11 on sale, and the new atta boysenberry bottles and cans release
