I have too.. when I was around 6 or something. Too bad I wasn't old enough to enjoy the nearby brewery :stuck_out_tongue:

As far as the US goes, I was going to say New Glarus. The little drive up and town itself is just a bonus. I have a serious soft spot for southern Wisconsin, though. Their new addition (always posting photos on Facebook) looks like it is just going to make it that much more incredible. Looking forward to visiting again after they get that finished up and get their lambic/sour program more in place.

My vote for least conspicuous -- but still picturesque -- brewery goes to Heller-Trum/Schlenkerla (beige building at the top of the hill there in top pic). My old apartment was about 3-4 houses up on the right, in the top floor of the former Loewenbrau Bamberg building (bottom pic). Yes, I'm a nostomaniac.

Really Love the Hill Farmstead brewery. Looking at the mountains is kinda amazing especially at the festivals where you get to drink beer and just gaze at one of the most beautiful places on earth. That and anyone who chooses to drive inevitably ends up driving through the VT mountains which is amazing. My several annual trips up are one of the highlight of my year between the beer, mountains and local food. The whole experience just makes the trip somewhat amazing and magical.

The Blue Anchor in Helston is another nondescript classic. Got to love the Spingo ale

I think the ground level bar at Great Lakes might be my favorite. Really old bar, reminds of the Parrothead Pub back home. The downstairs bar has a stereotypical movie style British pub.

From what ive seen Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh is pretty cool inside too. Old church converted into a brewery.

Not the best picture in the world, but I really liked Devil's Backbone, which is kind of in the middle of nowhere in the foothills of the Appalachians. Really pretty building and scenery.

Hell yeah. The views of the Shenandoah Valley from DB and from Blue Mountain down the street are just fantastic...
