Good afternoon, all! I picked up the Surly Frost Pack this afternoon. In addition to Xtra Citra and Furious, the variety pack contains two new beers: Mortal Sun American Porter and Liquid Stardust Sparkling IPA. The latter is classified here as an American Brut IPA. Amarillo, Citra, and Mosaic, tons of citrus and tropical fruit on the nose and palate, low bitterness, a crisp, dry finish, and a very well-hidden 7% ABV. Paired with a hot dog and potato chips, just because. Cheers!

Yes, it is byof. There's actually an Italian deli in the same plaza as Open Bottle, I haven't yet been but have been told it's not as good as Ambrosinos. You have to get down to The Original Mr Beef for an Italian beef, man. Homer Glen.

I drink mine straight. maybe a few drops of ice water.

Seagram's 7 is not bourbon though and you don't want to drink it straight up. A 7&7 is a pretty classic drink.

Yeah went to that place and open bottle first time when seeing Judas Priest over the summer. I believe I had went to the Homewood location prior because of a Groupon. It was pretty good but don't remember it being mind blowing. Hard to reccomend driving far for Italian beef because it's all fucking good

Beer #7. I haven’t had a lot of Sweetwater beers, but this and their Jamaican Coffee Porter are tied for best beer I’ve had from them.

The one in Homer Glen is the only Original Mr Beef. The others are just Mr Beef. The Original one is the grandson of the original owner before he sold and they franchised. They're totally different recipes. It's my favorite beef outside of Johnnie's up in Elmwood Park.
