    Awesome strong ale. Nice head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup, cocoa, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of milk chocolate, molasses, licorice, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and bourbon, oak, cinnamon spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body. Creamy, silky, bready malts; light slickness, sticky spice, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy/tannic dryness. No cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth, mildly warming 12%, minimal barrel booze. Awesome balance of rich malts, spices, fruity yeast, bourbon barrel presence/integration. Great balance between wheatwine and imperial stout flavors. Not as impressive as Dark Passenger. Not as roasty. 4.1

    I got a little more menthol/green pepper than I'd bargained for on this one, but the surrounding flavors are really good with vanilla and cream. Mouthfeel is fantastic and full bodied. Overall a rating of 4.03 out of 5, very nice.

    Henry O Peabody School for Girls, Norwood, Ma. I shit you not, says so on my diploma. They had a post graduate program for culinary arts . The school originally was a nursing school that they converted to a vocational tech school. I was lucky enough to be there the years that the man who helped write the curriculum for Culinary Institute and a lady that baked for the Kennedy compound in Hyannis taught there. They opened a lot doors for us. The side benefit was the school also taught fashion design and hair dressing as well. It was about 10 to 1 ratio girls to boys. I managed to eek out a degree in food science.
