Bruery 2018 RS/HS Allocations

Just look around or post a trade on the forums, you'd be surprised how many are floating around out there. I found a brandy Papier and a rye Papier just by being patient and getting a little lucky.

 

100 gift memberships available for reserve society. LOLOL they still can't get anyone to take a RS so now they need to have you give it to someone else.

 

With all this marketing push for reserve.... Makes me wonder if renewals were low or just lackluster interest in general this year.

 

If I gift it to someone, does that mean I can buy a can of the advertised churriosity that is sold out? Asking for a friend.

 

Or they increased numbers and got a less than enthusiastic response.

 

What is people's opinion on BA 8 Maids? When I had non-BA fresh I thought it was good, but didn't knock my socks off. Notwithstanding the vertical fun factor, how is it as a beer?

 

Looking back on my review I gave it a 6/10 saying it was sweet and tangy

Anybody remember if the Bruery was doing a beer and cheese pairing event for people that went to every SMM? I'm pretty sure I checked in every time, though I can't go back through Flok and verify.

 

Yes, confirmed a beer n cheese event coming while I was at the December SMM. They were able to check all your Flok check-ins that day. Or, if you got the BT early invite email and went to the December SMM you're good.

 

Only if your giftee waxes it for you. It's kind of like MTV spring break, but different.

 

Got an e-mail about Hoarders Cuvee included bottles this morning. Anyone remember what the blend/adjuncts are for this batch?

 

I think the winning blend crushed up some Trader Joe's gingerbread cookies but I suppose we'll find out at 10:00.

 

375ml bottles retailing at $23!?! Must have imported those gingerbread cookies from a TJ in Abu Dhabi!

 

Just wait until renewal time next year when the cost of Hoarders membership increases to $999 and the only thing included in the membership is boxed wine and an embroidered eye patch.

 

This sounds super good... but I still don't get where the $23 price point comes from.

This 2018 Hoarders-exclusive release from The Bruery is a blended ale (equal parts BT, Ani, Mash) and imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with graham cracker crumbs, ginger snap cookies, maple syrup, cacao, cinnamon, and ginger.

 

It does sound good. It looks like we get 4 bottles included in the membership, which should be more than enough without having to buy any additional.

 

I love the idea of the can format on Atta Boysenberry, but I feel like there have been complaints on here of You Asked For It and another canned barrel beer turning into gushers in less than a year. Any reason to think the canning is less stable than a bottle?

 

Remember this can't trickle down to RS, I'm not up to HS ranting for 3 pages to end the year. You guys need to max this out, LOL.
