Yep, this. I always print at home. No one asks me any questions and it's much faster in the store too. I do this for both USPS and Fedex.

I don't even always bother with a receipt since I get the tracking # sent to my email when I make the label. So if there's a line, I can just drop the box on the counter and leave.

So I recently got tired of being asked whats in the box, so I setup a FedEx account and everything was going well, just drop off and walk out, no questions asked. However, I just recently sent out 2 boxes last week and dropped them off at my local place I always go. 5 minutes later I am pulling into work and get a call from the FedEx location. The store wanted to make sure I didn't have any liquids in the boxes. Obviously I said no and then got a bit worried what prompted this call, but the boxes started their move and eventually made it without a problem. I found it quite weird they called me after I dropped off the packages, but it is much easier to make something up on the phone rather than in person I guess?

Sounds like you need a new location or different shipper

Yeah, weird... I've never had someone care enough to call about a package like that.

I had this happen once & my hesitation in answering was long enough that the FedEx branch person followed that up with "We want to make sure you aren't sending any medical liquids!" Turns out I re-used a box from another trade & didn't bother to look at it too hard, & there was this scary poison face on the bottom alongside print that said "Toxic Medical Supplies" or something like that.

I always examine my re-used boxes a touch more carefully now!
