No Hoarders Cuvee on the tasting room taplists?! The one time of year I'm actually in Southern California? COME ON!

I opened one fine but had heard the same. I was wondering if anyone else is getting a little metallic taste from the canned stuff.

Do you drink from the can or pour into a glass?

I don't recall anything metallic from Bakery or any of the Offshoots, but I always use a glass.

Has anyone else had issues with GSO? I have only dealt with them 4-5 time so far with Bruery packages but have had issues multiple times. I call them and set a date for delivery and they don't show. I call back and once they said it was unsafe to deliver (but couldn't explain the issue). Today they say they have no record of our conversation and that they have scheduled me for a day I can't be home. I can pick up the package at the warehouse but that is 2 hours from where I live!
I wish there were options for other carriers...

Pour in a glass. Some of the Bakery cans I've had since they first went on sale. Was trying to figure out if it was just in my head.

No issues with GSO here. More often than not, I don't get the notification from the bruery in time to adjust my work schedule, so I miss the first delivery attempt. Then I just go online and pick a new window and 95%+ of the time they show up when I pick. Judging by the variety of people/vehicles I have seen deliver my stuff, you may just happen to live on a route with shitty drivers. Agreed on the price factor too...it's pretty nice to get 12 bottles shipped 400 miles overnight for only $28. That would be an absurd amount of money through UPS or FedEx

I haven't had any issues with GSO. They've been very easy to work with from my perspective. I definitely would be pissed if they told me they had too many packages, that's their business.

GSO has been great to me, going above and beyond to get me my bottles. They’ve returned to my house 3 times in one day until I was finally there to receive it at 8pm and a couple times I’ve left a note on my door with my sig asking them to just leave it on the porch and they did both times.

This is my 3rd year following the Xmas sale and I have a question: Is this sale always thus lame?

There is not a single bottle I have any interest in.

I haven’t been a member for very long, but the last Xmas sale I remember being excited about was in 2015

This is my 3rd Christmas sale too. I dig it, I picked up more 12 Days beers. Looking back at the last two years I didn't buy much then either. I think the Anniversary sale is the marquee sale. I also get the sense they are holding back less stuff than they used to. I think they used to hold stuff back routinely to offer in future sales, and now the only stuff on sale is what didn't initially sell. So, if you like those things, it becomes convenient but not exciting. Cheap ass White Oak was by far the highlight last year:wink:

I'm finally trying American Copper this afternoon, so happy to know that if I dig it I can hop on and buy more.

No... it used to be awesome! As did most of their sales.

I've not had any problems with GSO. But I have mine shipped to work. So, someone is always here regardless of the time they arrive. Which, IIRC, is pretty consistent.

I jammed on my Mash and Spumoni last night for the same reason. I thought it was great. But it really needed to be a WOW beer to justify spending more beer money than I have in the last 30 days. Always a crazy time of year for beer.

The only bottle I've purchased so far is Rum BA Tart of Darkness. Always a fan of the ToD series and the reviews looked promising. Overall though a very lackluster sale

Mmm... American Copper is super tasty. I like that it's more on the dry side compared to all the syrupy quads out there. Booze is fairly hot, but excited to see how it mellows with age.

Not sure what everyone expects from the sale? It's not like when you first found the Bruery and there were a bunch of past, rare bottles to hunt. Most of us have been around awhile, have had the old beers, and have full cellars. What is everyone expecting to appear?

Personally I was happy to be able to grab a BA5 and 7. Resisted others due to my space issues, but plenty of good options.

Anyone else attempted to have their trustee use their $30 taproom credit for renewing early? They refused to allow my trustee to use it and said that the member has to be the one to use it because it is "non transferable." Im not local and have no plans of visiting in the near future.

Seems a little ridiculous to offer this and then not allow it to be used by someone who you have no problems releasing massive amounts of beer to. There are many members who are obviously not local. Kind of a useless perk for those of us.
