Finally got to 2nd Bridge and Labyrinth in Manchester on Saturday. I was a fan of both. I really liked the atmosphere at 2nd Bridge. I will be back to both.

They also make one of the best ESB's around (Looking Glass).

Truth! We just ordered new fermenters that will double our capacity and be online early January. Lots more beer coming soon!

Boys Don't Cryo is coming back and will be in the mix fairly regularly. More tanks for more beer coming before the end of the year. Dogs are occasionally also allowed in the tap room for special events (in October we had an event sponsored by the Marshfield dog park and will be having another one this Sunday 12/2)

Has anyone made a map on google or something for all the MA breweries?

For some reason the post above mine wasn't showing when I posted. Sorry for the duplicate info!

Great to hear about the tanks and the dogs too....maybe chalk up to growing pains but the product is REALLY GOOD and it's a great spot on the South Shore.

We're figuring it out right now in an area that's pretty young to craft beer so growing pains for sure. I put a beer on that I figure will last 7-10 days and it lasts 2! Thanks for being a fan and coming along on this adventure with us!

I made another thread but there will be a mixed-use spot opening in Essex, MA next fall on the causeway

Working name was “Great Marsh Brewery” but not sure now.

Their spot is very flood-prone (just had the Causeway closed for a few hours last week due to lunar high tides, not even a storm) and their concrete and steel is just getting put in place for a flood proof building.

Looking forward to seeing this come online

I finally got to sample a beer from Purgatory Brewery during our 12 Beers of Xmas. The beer was Dirty Swan DIPA which rang in at 8% alcohol. My friend bought it fresh and paid $16 a 4 pack. Gotta say, it was one of the worst beers I've ever had, nobody got beyond one sip of the stuff. It had a strange chemical like flavor and aroma and tasted like raw, unfinished wort. We ended up drain pouring the entire 4 pack because all of the cans exhibited the same flaw.

It's at the top of my list of worst beers I've ever tried, right next to Magic Hat St. Goontz.

I hit Stellwagen for the first time since opening day today (opening day being sales out of the loading dock). Very nice space. Great vibe. Service w a smile. And Shockwaves is a solid beer. Looking forward
    to regular returns in 2019.

Does anyone know if any of the beers they’ve put out are renamed clones from the brewers John Harvard days?

I have no idea, but their stuff is fantastic. I’m expecting huge things in 2019

I'm meh on the whole milkshake IPA thing, but really enjoyed a can of their strawberry version I tried a month or so ago. If Stellwagen can make me feel positive with that style, I'm looking forward to trying other beers as well!

What’s the word on River Styx brewing? I know they’re open but haven’t heard much about them at all. Anyone been?

I’m still on the fence with these guys. I’ve been a couple times to grab and go. The tap room is good size and could be fun with a group buts it’s Firchburg. Nothing else really in the area to hit before or after even for food.

The 7 or 8 beers I’ve had are average to above average. I’ve heard though that recent NEIPAs have been better. I wouldn’t go out of your way but if traveling down route 2 and it works for timing I would stop in.
