What beer are you drinking now? #2263

Jr. and I visited the Castle today...lots of people! Home now getting ready for tonight’s dinner and party thereafter. Beavertown ‘s “Vinous” a grape sour:



On Princes St. and below in the park, a sold out crowd of 100,000 will party with live shows and lots of drinking. Another 200,000 will crowd the streets above. We will be a few blocks away, inside, hopefully drinking. Cheers and Happy New Years!

It's a cold windy one here with some snow flying so I did all my running around town and parked the car for the day. I'm getting the heavy hitters out of the way early while I clean house for the progressive block party that is coming here later this evening for dessert. It should be a fun time. Happy New Year to all and to quote our own @vabeerguy 'Dont drink and drive'!

 

I need something bold and decadent to warm me up before I head up on the roof to clean out the gutters before it starts raining. This 14.4% Imperial Stout with cocoa nibs, vanilla and strawberries should do it.

This is one of those beers where a taster at the brewery was more than enough and I don’t know why I purchased a bottle.

I rarely complain about price, but I passed on that here in CO and ponied up a dollar more for a 750ml of CBS. I'm curious as to what your price was?

Reverse the first two numbers in the price shown in your picture and that’s what I paid.

There’s a lot of high pricing around, but $21.99 is definitely a eyebrow raiser. Like, is it marked wrong high.

I don't remember it being that high and thought I was being clipped. Not surprised considering this store has prices all over the board. I couldn't believe they were only charging 22.99 for the CBS. Beer is weird sometimes. Thanks for your reply!

 

No problem. It is. I had a similar experience the other day. This store by me sells for $8.99 all the DFH yellow caps (120, WWS, etc.), $9.99 for BCBS. Great prices. Then CBS for $35, when I can get it down road for $24.99. $22.99 is a very good price. Cheers.

Aromas and flavors go hand-in-hand, suggesting floral citrus and tropical fruits like orange pulp, just-shy-of-ripe mango, candied lime, and a mashed-up jam of apricot, peach, and nectarine... Honeyed sweetness and distant, mild bitterness are accompanied by a vague chewy undercurrent, earthy and husky, rounding off all the fruity elements and adding some depth... Feel is soft and pillowy with an occasional twang of tang that is quickly pulled back in by tendrils of sticky honey... 11/15/18 canning...

Coaches dropping like flies in the wake of yesterday's games: Todd Bowles, Vance Joseph, Adam Gase, Marvin Lewis, Steve Wilks, and Dirk Koetter - now all jobless, homeless, and unloved - wandering the dirty streets, naked and strewn with filth...
