You mean you didnt interrogate everyone around you to buy one off of them? You didnt drag a friend or family member so you could get an extra?

Does the guy still show up every bottle release who parks his van in the handicap spot right in front and ask everybody going by if they want to trade their bottles?

Yup, grabbed another 2 earlier. Still haven't tried it yet — saving it for the Pats tomorrow. I haven't been crazy for HOTS but Miles to Go from the Fall was outstanding. I can only imagine this will be even better based on the description.

I refuse to believe this happens in real life. I am hoping you are joking...

I don't mind them bumping the stout up from 1 to 2--I just wish that they'd stop trolling me by offering wacky adjunct stouts every day until I go.. 15 or so visits since Charlton opened and have yet to try any draft-only variant of a base beer. That said, DS and MoC were delicious. Kidding aside, I've had terrible luck with pours.

The demon on my left shoulder tested me VERY strongly when they handed me an extra bottle of "and miles.." after I had thrown mine into my backpack.

Do anything and everything in your power to get there to try an Oreo variant of any of their stouts when they have it next. I've had Somewhere, Something Oreo, Single Shot Oreo, and Double Shot Oreo several times. DS Oreo is the best thing I've ever tasted. They need to bottle that!

Second this but with the Marshmallow. DS Marshmallow is one of the best beers I've ever had.

I admittedly don’t have a sweet tooth, but I couldn’t finish my bottle of DS. I can only imagine how much sweeter the milk stouts are.

I’ll take them if you don’t like it. Full price

Interesting. The recent batches of Double Shot have definitely been chocolate forward but I haven't found them too sweet. Have you ever had Single Shot?

The milk stouts are sweet but are almost always well balanced. But I feel the same for DS so your mileage may vary.

I have not had single shot, but I’ve had TWSS and it was a drain pour for me. WAY TOO sweet.

Don’t waste your money on any more of their milk stouts then. I love them, but if DS is too sweet (not even a milk stout) then you won’t like any of them. You may like Impressionism or Abstraction. Those two were definitely less sweet to me and for sure have no lactose

I totally agree. I bought two DS (knowing they’re not milk stouts) and wish I hadn’t. I have one left that I’ll give to a friend.

Interesting that you mention Abstraction. I bought two cans of that and drain poured the first. It tasted like browney batter, which is not a flavor I’m looking to drink. I gave my buddy, that I’ll probably give my DS to, the second.

So weird. I didn't like Absctraction because it didn't taste like brownie batter. Your taste is clearly at the other end of the spectrum which is why beer reviews are sort of ridiculous!
