For the Sacramento Area it seemed to work best to have one thread for all the local breweries since there is not a ton of BAdvc discussion.

Sacramento Brewery Directory now lists 73 Breweries in the area and surrounding counties.
    https://www.beersinsac.com/sacramento-brewery-directory/

The big ones that were discussed the most in the previous 2018 Sacramento thread

    New Glory
    Urban Roots
    Track 7
    Claimstake
    Bike Dog
    Crooked Lane
    Mraz

Moonraker and Moksa also had their own separate 2018 threads.

Got the new year started right with a trip to New Glory (Granite Bay) yesterday. Food menu keeps getting better as well.

    Kaijuice DIPA

    Of course.... cans to go....

Really thought the DDH version of Copious DIPA was good.

Copious and Kaijuice are 2 of my favorite NG IPA's, the other being Galactic Worms. Those are super tasty. Love visiting that place but I go to the original location off Power Inn.

Thoughts on which (if any) of the area's breweries (or ones with tasting rooms) should have their own thread in the Pacific forum in 2019?

    Fieldwork
    Urban Roots (?)
    Moonraker (?)

I think the Fieldwork thread saw a fair bit of traffic. The Moonraker thread seemed to die down once the new facility came online, and perhaps some associated learning curve and QA issues. I could see Urban Roots generating enough interest later in 2019, but perhaps not now. Curious to hear others' opinions.

Fieldwork got a LOT of play last year, myself included. Oddly trailed off at the very end of last year. Anyways I was in line for the Galaxy Sauce / Thunder God release day, got the full allotment of Galaxy Sauce (8 cans) and Thunder God (3 cans), plus got a growler of GS and a glass they didn't charge me for. GS is my single very favorite beer ever made by FW, so that's why I was there in line. The Thunder God is super super chocolatey, which lines up with the ingredient list.

I think Urban Roots is on the upswing - they got a new high profile brewer, and they are lighting up their social media about what's coming. Moonraker and Moksa are just a bit too far for me, but I visit/trade when I can.

Yes on separate threads for Moonraker and Fieldwork for sure.

    Speaking of New Glory
Every time I take the 90 minute drive to the Sacramento area I am impressed with their Rotating IPA Selection, not to mention their constant collaborations with surrounding breweries. They deserve their own thread, and for that same reason I think Moksa should have one of their own as well. They are doing great things across the board.

As for urban roots, considering their new head brewer announcement I believe they'll generate more buzz this year.

agreed on New Glory having their own thread, Ps.

I was at Track 7 last night - wasn't planning on it but I recall they had like a 7 can (!!) release for NY weekend, and thought perhaps they'd have some left. Indeed they did - 4 of them. The PB&J IPA was.....good for the first 2 sips. The hazelnut choc RIS was really good, the honey triple IPA was very nice, the imperial red ale was also nice. I shut the place down at 8:15 lol. I know T7 isn't one of Sacs darlings but I like them a lot.

You know what, I always seem to skip them on my normal brewery rout in favor of the younger, sexier breweries, but Left Eye Right Eye is a great west coast ipa. Think I really should get to their spot to try taproom only stuff next time!

if you can swipe some Mo'Suka, it's a hazebro that I think is up there with most of the better ones. They do LERE variants - triple versions, double dry hopped versions, that I think you'd like even more than the reg. What's nice is they are just off 80 and it's super easy to get in and out of there.

Urban Roots is right there on the upswing for new breweries. IF they start doing regular can releases....... and when the Barrel Aged beers start coming out later this year...... I could see them with enough interest for their own thread.

On that note....... I was back at Urban Roots in Midtown Sac this past Saturday night. Great atmosphere going even with the wind and rain outside. Pretty busy, but they had a lot of staff. Went Pork Shoulder & Coleslaw.

"Taste Like 2019" was still on tap. Great double Hazy ipa.

Really liked the "Luna De Miel" Mexican Lager as well. They nailed this one.

Back out at New Glory Granite Bay location. Great lunch and they are nailing their beers right now. Plenty of cans available as well.

Also... "Within One Stem" is one of their best single IPAs right now. So good.

I'm flying into Sacramento on a Monday for work. I have a few hours that afternoon to myself and I will have a car. What should my itinerary look like? Would like to sample and bring stuff home if possible. Thanks for any help!

Hello Everyone! Just checking in on an invite from @atomicpunk5151...Moonraker and New Glory are my go to breweries at the moment! New Glory's Taproom and Eatery is fantastic! I was just there trying their new releases, Within One Stem and Loud Mouth. They were pretty darn tasty and had surprising depth (body) for a single IPA. I lean more towards DIPAs myself...

I am getting into stouts a little as well...This is probably Dan's fault (Owner of Moonraker) as he had me try Foamwalker when I was there recently. I have been trying stouts ever since! Foamwalker by Moonraker and Mallow Blaster from New Glory (Collab with Moksa) are my favorites so far!

I still haven't made my way to Bike Dog or Moksa yet...any recommendations once I get there for an IPA drinker?

Not sure how much time you will have or how far you are willing to go, but Moonraker and New Glory have to be put on your itinerary!

First off, what exact part of the Sacramento Area are you going to be in for the afternoon. Sacramento and the surrounding suburbs have become very spread out. If you are only Downtown it will limit your choices if you just have a few hours. This can help us with recommendations.

Second, you should check the 2018 Sacramento thread. We answered this question for out of town travelers many times. https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...rn-breweries-and-releases-2018.447921/page-17

Downtown only: New Glory, Urban Roots, Fieldwork, Track 7 (3 locations) Bike Dog (2 locations), Device
Rocklin/Auburn: Moonraker, Crooked Lane, Knee Deep, Moksa, Out of Bounds, New Glory #2
    Rancho Cordova: Claimstake, Burning Barrel

There are over 65 breweries in the area. List here: https://www.beersinsac.com/sacramento-brewery-directory/

As you can see from the pics above, I go to New Glory Granite Bay a lot as well. Within One Stem is one of their best single Hazy IPAs for sure. Greenergy is my favorite DIPA from NG. I like a bunch of their West Coast IPAs as well (Do you even Mosaic BROH, Dankatronics) . Mallow Blaster was excellent, You are right about that. Infinite Void is a good Stout as well.
