I'm so tired of seeing IPAs I want to drink in bombers, it just makes me sad.
Regular Milk Eyed has been a low-key fave of mine, so I'm both sad and excited to hear people hyping up barrel-aged versions.

Didn't Veil Brewing do that already?

Got a Malevolance 4 pack (12oz cans/$19.99) today at Binny’s. School is closed so I imagine I will get to try one shortly

It’s ok. Cinnamon and peppers for sure. Will probably finish the remaining 3 cans over the next 24 months

"One time" ? We do this EVERY time. Yes, my coworkers thought it was strange at first, now they're used to it. And I have them all getting their beers in non-chilled glasses now too.

Go to any hot release (Henna, BCBS variants, etc) and just observe how long people typically wait to start drinking their stout. It’s something else

I’ll never forget the two brohammers at Stoutfest who endlessly cycled the More line as fast as they could (there wasn’t more than 5 people in line) to just SLAM as many henna pours as they could.

Their parents raised them well, I guess.

“Bro, all our brofriends are going to be so jealous when we tick this 15 times today!”
“Yeah bro, I’m going to be wasted by 1PM!”
“Best $50 ever! Should we try some other stuff?”
“No bro, we stay here until it kicks! Then people will be mad they missed it and we will retroactively taste the .rar-hype!”
    “You’re my pastry boiiiiiiiiii!”

    —-
4 hours later, you find one at the mirror in the goose bathroom, weeping silently, until he swings around and looks at you, ghosts in his eyes:

“When Sartre wrote “Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you,” this is what he meant.” He furtively shows you his untappd account. “Don’t you see? I’m free. I’m special. History will remember me.”

His companion, taking a break from getting sick in the stall, slowly, softly starts singing, “strumming my pain with his fingers....singing my life through his words...”

    Ah, so you do know.

Any other BA I'd ask if you spent too much time out in sub zero temps today and are going mad, but I know better here. You're prob quite warm in your red union suit and Snuggie.

So, you were jealous of how I handled the More line at Stoutfest...I knew it!

A man looking like @croush but with a top hat, mustache, monocle, and pocket watch approaches the mOre booth:

“Pardon me, I presume you are Mr. Shawn B Pastristouten. My name is Sir Dunkencroushen of Hatehopbutchershire. Would you be so kind as to fill my tincture vessel?”

“Dudebro, you’re literally walking two feet away and changing costumes before coming back in to line. I can tell you are the same person. You’re not even drinking them - you’re just lining up the samples and putting thermometers in them!”

“Errr, wait, no, haha, I am not that other person, say, look over there!” [Crackboom!]

And that is why smoke bombs are no longer allowed at Stoutfest.

Never go to a beer festival or release without a top hat and monocle. That’s pretty standard.

A solid event. Will be interesting to see how their early entry tickets affect seating. Most likely bar will be full.
