What beer are you drinking now? #2297

I am going to eat a lot of food today, then will have my traditional Monday-after-the-Super Bowl leg workout. It helps with motivation that Tom Brady is a couple weeks younger than me, and keeps playing in this game every year.

First time with this one. When a beer smells absolutely amazing, I have high hopes for the taste. This doesn't meet those expectations.

This is amazing. Was on the basement floor so about 50 degrees f.

 

Didn't know what to do with the reimagined Hop Wallop..... is it an NBS beer even though I've had it? No, can't be.... gotta be a WBAYDN joint, right? So anyway, here it is, the new version.... with critique!



So pours clear as a bell, thankfully (trying to get away from too much haze). Nose is more dank and oddly, more Pilzen-ish than I recall. Tastes like an imperial Pilsner. Not kidding at all. It's not light and flinty, hence an imperial body but I kid not, it has a striking initial taste of noble hops, for realz.....

 

Happy Super Bowl Sunday ba. Pre-gaming with my first hopslam of the year. Feels like a pretty nice batch,

 

Time for some more beer!

Nice & rich, malty Scotch Ale from the Adirondack Brewery. Brown ales and porters, and the more traditional style IPA's .... that's where I've been at, this winter.

 

It looks like today's threads were combined, so check out page 1, if you have not. Having a King Sue after the other awesome IIPAs that I have had today, really demonstrates how amazing this beer is. It tastes exceptional, even if you have it later in a session. I am getting amped up for Lords of Chaos!

 

Couldn't wait till game to start chowing down. Burger and pretzel roll with neshaminy creek pilsner

Leg work, especially high rep barbell squats, will help you sweat out all the beer/alcohol. At least that has been my experience. Not pretty but I feel better afterwards.
