To date - having had a few glasses at this point - my least favorite bourbon ever - and for $74??? My wife was with me when I bought it, so she knows how much I spent - she also knows I don't like it that much, so she yelled at me today, "Well, you're gonna drink it!" - I mean, hey, it's not that bad... lol - also, a cautionary tale about having the wife with ya on an alcohol run...

Good for some chuckles...

A pale, golden pour with orange highlights, amber blemishes, and a decent portrayal of transparency: head formation is fluffy with moderate retention and handsome lacing

A whiff brings forth sweet caramel malt, citrus, honey bread, cereal grains with extensions of grassy, floral, spicy-noble hops, and elements of lime zest, honey, hay, satchel, fruity/esters

More honey fruit to the touch, where the candid, caramel malt blossoms alongside a correspondence of sweet-earthy grains, citrus, lemongrass, hibiscus, and clues of orange. The spicy, bittering hops play well with the subtle nutty sweetness

Carbonation with this one is robust with a feel that’s smooth, creamy, rich and fluffy yet clean and polished: the rich biscuit-y/malt profile, the mildly spiced hop presence, the grass-doughy foray, the dry-clean-delicate finish = BG continually rationalizes the lager series with merit

Brouwerij Kees Caramel Fudge Stout at 11.5% ABV. Pretty much summed up by the name. Sweet chocolate, coffee, fudge and hints of vanilla. Perfect dessert beer after a heavy meal

 

Ft. Lauderdale brewery #2, flight #2:


Couldn’t figure out if LauderAle has any flagships, but I’m pretty sure none of these are they.

Rumplefunk-sin - sour with a nice bite and seemingly with some barrel influence
Ordinarily Not Bitter - light malt-forward English bitter with a lightly bitter back
Foxy Christmas Monkey - BSDA with a little bite to it, nice
Quintessence (Buffalo Trace BA Quad) - little raw barrel with a thin body and honey sweetness.

 

Sorry to hear that...Cycle is legit...
