Booo hisss to all the haters.

Experimenting is a crap shoot, but every beer we enjoy was an experiment at one time.

Here's to the brewers pushing the envelope, keep it up y'all, this is why America brews the best, most exciting beers in the world today.

Sounds like a Reese's truck skidded out of control, crashed through a fruit stand and ended up in a liquor store... You got your chocolate on my peanut butter....... You got your liquor on my banana. (Pun intended).

And while we're on the subject; bacon and peanut butter make a mighty tasty sandwich! Honest . . .

I want one of those doughnuts. Sounds amazing.

I might actually try the beer too.

Thats why breweries have pilot systems and test batches, and dont screw up a beer, call it a different style, then try to offload it by the case to anyone that is either intrigued by the oddity or somehow still has faith in your company.
    Gross business, gross beer.

Heres to brewers who push the envelope while making beer I can afford and enjoy.

Have to give the man credit! He has steel ones to post here! I do try everything, and peanut butter is my favorite so he has at least one sale from me!

Sounds boring. Besides, they've already been doing this for decades and have plenty of "normal" styles in their portfolio. I think they've earned the right to get creative and have some fun.

Sounds almost like the elvis sandwich but needs bacon. Lots of bacon.

Was just at a Brown Shugga vertical. The Lagunitas rep explained this was a Gnarleywine gone wrong and the brewers went to every store possible that night to buy all the CH brown sugar to pour in the brew kettle. That turned out pretty good. Just saying it probably happens more than you think.

I never understand people who are against trying this brew because they didn't like the Bacon Maple ale. Why does not liking one brew mean you can't like others? I didn't care for Devil Dancer by Founders, but I'll be damned if that'd stop me from drinking the rest of their stuff!

I need to get my hands on this stuff.

Yeah and their normal stuff is pretty darn middle of the road at best. My point is wow us with great beer not gimmicks.

Looking forward to a chance at trying this one. While not a normal staple in my fridge I have much love for Rogues Double Chocolate Stout, Double Mocha Porter and the Hazelnut Brown Nectar as well and much better than middle of the road in my opinion. The price point on some of these is the only thing keeping these out of my fridge on a daily basis.

This thread prompted me to pick up a bacon maple ale and give it another go, not sure if the recipe has changed from the last batch, but i found it to be much more balanced this time around and quite tasty. And being canadian i'm sort of obligated (though stereotypical) to love bacon and maple syrup .

Thanks to the guys at Rogue for making batshit crazy beer for us dorks!
