So, Apfelsap is "society exclusive"? Does that mean even preservation gets to buy it? So much for having production problems and being extremely limited...

Wait, why the heck doesn't embroidery drop off go the entire time? It makes no sense why it would need to stop 90 minutes before close...

Can Preservation even access the allocations page of the online store? When I was preservation for a quarter, you couldn't... This just being to say, I'm pretty sure Apelsaf is RS/HS exclusive.

Sorry for the three-in-a-row posting, but it needs to be said: "saison-style pilsner" is utter nonsense.

I do believe you're right. I haven't been PS in awhile, and they had allocations when I was in it, but it appears that's changed. Still, I emailed them telling them I don't like the way they've been handling HS the last few months and unless they come up with a better resolution for this, I'm just going to skip all the releases this month.

Icky Thump says it isn't available till the 18th? Why would they put it up early?

Ordered one of Apfelsap and Oude Tart, then heading to SMM tonight after work to see how this month's allocations are just in case I want to order more.

I'm really interested in White Mocha, but that $15 price tag is looking very unwelcoming.

Yeah, but it was $30+ in bottles... This is cheaper per ounce.

Because that would make too much sense.

I've purchased at least one of everything each of the last two months. I can't remember the last time that has happened. Really happy with the options this year.

On that same note from their Instagram:

"...Sessionable and easy drinking with a slightly hopped profile, a little salty, and a refreshing citrus edge, 7.6% ABV."

Just because 7.6% ABV is on the lower end of Bruery ABV spectrum doesn't exactly make it sessionable.

Agreed. While I do enjoy PB&Thursday, PB&Jelly is far and above. Would love another couple of bottles.

This shits a little sketchy. And I know, stuff happens and the yield was low. That's not my point. HS was only promised one bottle as part of the membership package? They promised two bottles to RS "Bruery Only" members and one bottle to "combo" members. I don't know the numbers or ratios of HS to RS and who's in which RS pool, but it seems that "Bruery Only" members are the ones getting the short end of the stick. At least HS can still purchase two and combo members still get access to one. But us Bruery only members can only purchase one?

Does anyone know if Rice and Beans and/or Hold the spoon is going to distro? I think Icky Thump is right? I would rather buy them locally then have to pay for shipping.

As much sense as laminating that info and posting them on the wall at Terreux instead of sending it to members so we can plan around attending.

On the plus side, 3rd month in and SMM is super mellow already. 1:00 archive pour is Atta Boysenberry. They still have a pile of old society merch for sale.

This month is a clusterfugg. You can buy the bottles you were promised in the most exclusive club instead of being included (so membership doesn't have its privileges, unless you consider spending even more $$ to get promised included beers a 'privilege'?), and multiple items say they're sold out already within hours of allocations being available? I'm sure if you parse together some of the recent 43 emails about changes and upcoming dates and whatnot, you might be able to make sense of whatever is happening.

I've exchanged a few emails with them today. I basically told them that they should have had included Apfelsap with HS memberships and left whatever was left for RS to buy first come first serve. Sucks for RS, but when this membership is $750+ a year after tax just to get to the table, I expect zero errors like this, particularly when they're actually avoidable like this situation. I reminded them of a time a few years ago when they accidentally oversold an inexpensive dark beer, and I found this out when I went to pick it up. The bottle was probably something like $12 or $15, and they offered to throw in bottles of BT instead at pickup. I didn't get what I paid for, but I was really happy about the outcome still. They could have thrown in a bottle of BT variant, and that would have made everyone happy. Instead, they're penny pinching and just giving out something of identical value. Not cool.

By the way, I brought up Spontanaheim as an example of another major communication issue in recent months, and they're trying to claim that Rhone Blanc was always the intended bottle and was just renamed. They're claiming that Rhone Blanc is spontaneous fermentation, even though the description of it online describes open fermentation, not spontaneous fermentation, and the 2019 information describes Spontanaheim, to be released in 2019, as "the first ever" spontaneously fermented beer from Bruery Terreux. Even further, 2018 Spontanaheim was supposed to be a Jester King collaboration, and Rhone Blanc wasn't a JK collab. Am I missing something here? This just all seems ridiculous. Why do I pay this much money for this degree of BS?

Edit: final thought on this... Their "extremely limited" production of Apfelsap made it to Terreux's tasting room as Reserve exclusive with 32 oz pours available. This is absurd.

So it can be listed as sold out before it's released? That makes it extra .rar, right?

Anddddd I will keep poking the bear; threshold awards from last year, advertised and then completely forgotten about. Raising the prices of the tasters in the tap room again, this apfelsap debacle (seeing crowler availability is ridiculous). Are we looking at cold fries and cheeseburgers at the anni party this year too?
