You're right, I could have swore it was on the Terreux only list. Now I see it's on the Bruery/Terreux split list, but no others.

I still think it's odd that it isn't on the Bruery only list.

I think they have a harder time selling Terreux subscriptions than Bruery, so they use marquee offerings to entice people to go with the mixed subscription rather than pure Bruery.

i wrote an email asking if more hold the spoon will be in the allocations since it shows up as sold out. they responded quickly that i could either go the ice cream pairing or go to whole foods. pretty crazy

Jeez, a public release is sold out for us? I didn't even buy any yet. IT'S ONLY BEEN ONE DAY.

For anyone who is curious, the HS boxes are x/500, so it looks like HS hasn’t grown much since last year.

Or they just don't have that figured out yet? They'd be wise not to imply future allocation given how they'll be lynched when the numbers turn out differently later...

They had extras of last year's available in that January sale, so unless a lot of HS didn't buy a box that puts membership last year under 500, so it could have grown by quite a few and stayed under 500.

they replied the majority has been shipped out to whole foods already.

Phew! On top of everything else, if Rue'd wasn't going to be at least close to RdF, I was going to be very disappointed. The main reason I signed up again this year. That and Apfelsap... but I'm going to have to let that one go.

I was on the fence about signing up to the RS combo just for Rue'd. But, I just really don't drink enough Terreux. Would have been nice if one was included in the Bruery Only membership.

I'm hoping (but not at all expecting) that we will see a Bruery-only Hoarders Society some day. I would even settle for Bruery-only Hoarders boxes!

    +1 re: Bruery-only Hoarders boxes.

The Terreux beers have kept me from pulling the trigger on the boxes so far.

So I'm confused whether the hoarders box is 2 - .375 of each or only 1.

"Each box contains a set of six different beers in 375-ml. bottles, including three from The Bruery and three from Bruery Terreux"

First year as hoarder and was really excited for the hoarder boxes but I wont like the Terreux stuff and I'm sure I'll love the Bruery stuff but it's hard to justify $142 for 3 .375 bottles.

    12 375s total. 2 375s of each beer.

Me too, though I think they've been pretty firm in the past that the spirit of being a true Hoarder is that you buy into everything. Probably extends to the boxes as well, but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised!

As an out of state person this makes me extremely upset. The amount of shenanigans they've put on this early in the year is too damn high.

At the moment this is one icy cold thread for anyone following it from the Bruery, BruerJoel should be glad he's gone! If I could reiterate and stress 2 things that stand out that might help Society membership going forward:
    1. Sh%& happens but if an included beer falls out give fair market store credit rather than substitute another beer in it's place. i said earlier I would take Mash & Grind over Mash & French Toast which reflects my personal taste but since everyone's taste is individual Store credit is the best solution.
    2. Guaranteed allocations available for a reasonable length of time is probably one of the major reasons people are Society members. I've been a society member from the start and it's only been the last 3 years or so where barring a failed batch I felt I had to rush and quickly buy a beer for FOMO. I have too much going on to have to worry about getting onto the Store site as soon as a beer I want comes up for sale and fighting other members (or even the Public) for those beers.
I have some other gripes/issues but I'm stopping here for now.
    Cheers all

They were cordial and apologetic re Apfelsap (though I'm not happy with the resolution) with immediate responses. However, there's been total silence since I emailed about the promised archive inclusions from last year when we hit certain thresholds. I followed up today and still nothing. I'm hoping for a good explanation, but I'm not expecting one.

That's because nobody surpassed any threshold. The threshold was one dollar higher than the biggest spender!

I picked up a crowler yesterday that I’m planning on drinking in a couple weeks When I’m back in town. Noticed today that it has oozed some out of the side. Wondering if this means the beer will be off? I am sure they will make it right if I contact them, but thought I’d check first about others experiences with oozing crowlers.

    Edit spelling
