Bruery RS/HS Allocations (2019)

Dude, while I tend to agree with you on other things, I think you're being a bit flippant here. The complaints in this thread have been coming from non-locals (so no crowler option) who aren't nearby a Whole Foods (the exclusive distributor for these cans). So they aren't complaining that non-society folks can get a beer; they're complaining that despite being in the society, they can't get access to it at all.

But yea, agree with most of the rest of what you are saying!

 

Hopefully 2018 members who are no longer members will be considered if they passed any thresholds last year

Daniel, thanks for the reply. I agree that this was super careless. Out of curiosity, and so it's public here, what were the determined thresholds? What happens if we're not happy with the solution? Can we just cancel for 2019 if we haven't picked anything up yet?

 

I just saw a store (craft beer kings) doing online sales of hold the spoon

 

It's a beer that's supposed to taste like ice cream and you've conditioned us to love diabetes inducing beers in general. Any chance for another batch or was this one truly one and done? I get that the production schedule probably won't allow that but it would be nice to know if the possibility was investigated.

My nearest whole foods is in Raleigh which is about an hour. I've been meaning to hit up Barrel Culture and some other spots up there but I'm not driving that far just to peruse Whole Food's beer section and hope they have Hold the Spoon.

Thanks for stepping up and reaching out to address member concerns and issues. I will absolutely reach out and inform you of some other issues I've encountered and provide what are hopefully some constructive suggestions to improve the society experience for members. Top notch customer service has always been one of the most appealing reasons to remain a Society member and to lose what's been established is not something I feel any member wants to see. Hopefully you'll stay tuned in to this thread and take advantage of positive suggestions. I'm looking forward to Icky Thump and hopefully a great Society experience for the remainder of the year.

Didn’t The Bruery just change their on line store like 2-3 years ago? I remember people losing their allocation list or something like that in the new system. Also, wouldn’t it be easy to issue $25 gift cards for anyone not wanting M&FT?

 

Yeah they did change their website a few years ago and the list of unfulfilled purchases was lost. If I remember correctly they're still working on it.... They did fix the other list that was lost which was purchase history. That's a must, however. How can they fix one but not the other?

 

The brewery list for anniversary is going to be....crazy...

But it's not barrel-aged diabetes! Just kidding. We're definitely going to take our time to assess this one based on the feedback. This year another batch is unlikely based on production schedule, but we're aware of the interest!

 

Bringing the hard hitting questions out. Again in transparency, I'm diving into the answer about the threshold. Give me until end of next week, 3/15/19 (just so the communication is 100% clear) and I'll have the answer. As for 2019, if you're truly unhappy with the solution and your membership this year, shoot me an email and we can figure it out.

First, Thank you for jumping in and settling this thread down. It was starting to feel like it was spinning out of control.

Second, What can you share about this year's Anniversary party?

I have a few questions:

• When will tickets be going on sale?
• Can you confirm HS will get four tickets this year?
• Will it be going back to HS getting a full hour early entrance? Or is it going to be 30 minutes like last year?
• Are we going back to 4 hours for RS and 5 hours for HS? Or will it be like last year's 3.5 hours for RS, 4 hours for HS
• Can you confirm that May 4th is locked in?
• Will it be at the Phoenix Club again?

April 1st, Extra Anniversary raffled tickets. Idk if it's in-person or online.

The Anniversary Party date was set a year or two ago in the prior year, only to move. Some people had flights booked. So by locked in I didn't mean an email from last year. I meant the space is currently booked.

This is more in line with what I was looking for.​
