What beer are you drinking now? #2332

Something about cold, windy, rainy days where my mouth waters for lagers.

It’s tough to follow up my last beer but Jack’s Abby never lets me down. My last can of this black gold. I will definitely be picking up another 6 when I see it.

 

Starting out today with a big one.

 

If it's limited then the " special" people should enjoy it, I'll just enjoy this Bud Light...
Kinda missing the corn syrup....

 

Finally sitting down to start the tax process. Seems like fewer documents came through snail mail this year. Starting with an inventory of what I actually have vs what I need to go online and get.

Boring tasks call for exciting beers.

Fieldwork Destroyer of Galaxies. 11.3% Galaxy TIPA. Canned 1/31/19.

Holy moly. So drinking this baby, you get all the notes you expect of Galaxy. Pineapple, peach, maybe a slight basil edge. But not surprisingly, you also get a bit of a malty sweetness with that triple IPA base. I didn't initially pick up the alcohol, but when it goes down your throat, you get warming all the way on the trip to your tummy. The booziness becomes more and more prominent with each subsequent sip.

Not that this is a bad beer. TIPA is not really my style of beer, but whenever I have one... it always makes me appreciate Pliny the Younger for being such a "drinkable" TIPA.

My brother in law coming home for a an interview in canada needed a place to quench his thirst. I suggested Lawsons. He repaid my advice with Maple Nipple. Straight from the green mountains to my head!

Can poured into a snifter

Two finger off white, soapy , creamy foam cap, good retention over clear deep copper liquid

Aroma of malts, grains and whiff of maple

Taste of grains, malt, hint of maple

Good beer

 

Drinking the second can of this today.
This Stuff is pretty good.

Good sipper.
She is enjoying this

We are enjoying the new house , moved 2 times in a week January. The First one was big buyers rental remorse. The house we found and are in now is across the street basically from the complex we originally moved from. Funny not funny.
