I actually thought the original AGE was super bitter, almost astringent, which I loved. It reminded me somewhat of fresh Knee Deep Simtra, another favorite of mine.

I am not sure... but I would say drink them if you got 'em... I was slowly drinking them with buddies bc it's a hype collab all them tasted fantastic.

I don't think I can trust my taste memories, I think your emotional state and the environment affect it too much. I was pretty damn happy to wear shorts.

From the Grubstreet article “...Richardson, Monahan, and Burman made at least one shrewd business move to ensure that their products would continue to stand out. “Sam went above and beyond and made sure he got the hop contracts,” Bernstein explains, pointing out that Richardson moved to secure a steady supply of the hops needed to make New England IPAs before the style exploded in popularity. “A New England IPA without the right hops is just like hazy booze water. When other people were left scrambling for the hops that were out there, Other Half had an ample supply.”....

First time i’m hearing about this with regards to other half, anyone have any opinions on it one way or the other? Do you think it actually has an effect on why alot other NY breweries can’t compete on the same level of haze (with the exception of maybe grimm)

and yet another blow to the anti-tose campaign... triple citra daydream>more citra than all citra. by a significant margin, IMO.

Yeah that’s my memory of it too. I just didn’t love it as much as you. Hop showers and superfun were my first two “aha” OH beers.

I’ve openly drank tons of OH cans in the park (no brown bags in sight) and never had an issue

In fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get ticketed for drinking there

NYPD rarely walk around the park, they just cruise in their cars, find bench on a path, or sit on a blanket on a lawn (on the weekend half of Brooklyn's 20 somethings are buzzed on white wine on the north lawn). I drink out of snifter, cops are the lookout for macro brew cans.

Yesterday I also had the cover of some dudes smoking a blunt on a bench 30 yards away from me, helps to be the small fish in the chicken shit ticket pond.

If I’m worried about a cop seeing at a park or beach I usually use paper cups from a deli or coffee shop or a travel mug

Can yall refresh my memory? Was it Mosaic hops that were discussed in this thread as being inconsistent over the last year-ish, quality-wise or was that another varietal?

Even without OH cans to hand, my go to move in the summer is to go to Gold Star or 209 Station (or Covenhoven if feeling particularly energetic), grab cans or crowlers, and head to the park

As @Tallerboy says - everyone is doing it (though not just people in 20s haha) - there’s beer/wine/weed/illegal bbqs all over the place

I was trying to say the 20 somethings are very obvious about drinking wine... The family bbqs usually do the solo cups.
