Agreed. Still super easy to drink though (perhaps easier due to lower carbonation?), and damn it's tasty! Just finished another one earlier tonight.

    Cheers

Next up - a can of Green Dot. Even if I don't enjoy this beer, I appreciate it. It evokes the big IPAs from the mid 2000s in a good way.

Drinking a glass of Breakside wanderlust IPA. Always a favorite of mine, and still one of the best values on the market (5 bones for a bomber).

Wife and I wiil be in France for 3 weeks, and while I've no doubt we won't lack for good food and drink, finding a decent ipa is likely to be a daunting task. So it's good to hang out with an old friend tonight, before heading to the airport tomorrow morning.

Safe travels and have a wonderful trip! We promise not to drink all the IPA while you're gone.

Finally got around to watching Episode 3 of the last season of Game of Thrones tonight.

Intense doesn't even begin to cover it.

Washed it all down with some Tasties, the export lager that Wayfinder brewed for Belmont Station's recent anniversary. A very, very nice bier.

When I said that last night, I was thinking, "There's so much iPA in Portland, we couldn't make a dent in the supply anyway."

This morning, I'm remembering all the times we drank all the IPA at Providence Park, and I realize we just need to have focus and a little belief.

Enjoy the trip! My parents were there (mainly Paris) about 3-4yrs ago and had a great time for people who don't speak a word of French, but they were traveling with their Norwegian friends so maybe the infamous French language-only snobs gave them a pass for that.

A can that was lurking in the fridge since last fall was sacrificed on the altar of science last night:
Canned in October, decided to see if it was still drinkable in May.
    The answer?
Not really, unless you were to bolt it while still cold.
Also, the can felt like a slight short-fill, which likely didn't help.

Got a kitchen scale? 365 grams is the lowest we accept as "full". 364 is a "low-fill", and ends up as samples, or in our bellies.

Finishing up the above mentioned SMB 53. Nice beer, pretty average, fairly muted though. Canned on date was 3/1/19, so shouldn't really be faded, I think it's just a "soft" IPA.

Nope. Mine crapped out after many years, and has yet to be replaced.

Mrs. vurt and I are ensconced at the Craft Pour House, watching The Force Awakens before the Timbers match. The place is crowding up quickly, since this is Stop #9 on the 2019 Timbers Army Under Construction Tour.

I'm having a Mazama Mosaic Eruption IPA, while the wife is keeping with the Star Wars theme and enjoying a Son of Jango IPA from Stormbreaker.

Damn glad "nerd week" is almost over: Harry Potter Day, Star Wars Day, and nonstop GoT chat wearing me out.

Thankfully, I am at Wander for their 5th birthday party, having a Golden Calculator Murkbomb. Not terrible.

Next up: a very tasty Tommy Two Stone Porter, the house beer here at Craft Pour House. Mrs. vurt is having the Mazama Mosaic Eruption.

It feels like I've been to every store next to Craft Pour House, except for CPH itself. We were at Frank's Noodle House tonight. I think the original location in NE Portland is better, but this is a good place to have close enough to home.
