I think I will have another beer.

 

This the "Allision" variant of Fort George's Waves of Silence. It was brewed with dates and brown sugar.


No, not bad, but they're kinda overshadowed by the brown sugar.

 

Do they put a date on that beer? My supermarket has it, but I'm afraid it's old.

 

Some random Belgian beer I've never heard of. This was delicious. Fantastic rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Flavors of big lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red apple, peppercorn, clove yeast; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuts, and brown bread dough/crust malts; with herbal, floral, woody, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy Munich malts, and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness; no astringency. Very smooth, pretty refreshing, minimal warming 7.5%. Well rounded Belgian yeast complexity, with a nice rich dark/Munich malt backbone, and balancing noble hops. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Very impressive Belgian brown ale. 3.91

The afternoon/evening involved two shots of this, brought by my Polish father in law. Poured myself a shot from a new bottle of Woodford and opened one of my favorite Pipeworks.

And then remembered I told my sister in law I’d share a New Glarus with her.

One damn strange Derby, I tell you. Off to play bags now.

 

Not on the can maybe on the 4 pack plastic holder.

I must have been dehydrated since that Trillium went down like water. So had to refill the glass with some Barreled Souls Continuum.

 

Pale ale from Exhibit A brewed in collaboration with the pinks boots society. Not bad.

 

I think I have been down that road once or twice before.

Triple Nelson Daydream from Other Half, I have to admit I like this more than I should. Very smooth for 10.5%. That Nelson hop really shining through nice.
