Never had this, but the thought of it excites me as much as a teenage girl watching Magic Mike.

My sentiments exactly! LOVE that beer and glad it was a little easier to get this year.

Victory beer in a Yards glass. Blasphemy!

Real nice rendition of a black ipa, especially given its freshness. Bottled 10/30.

Black Boss Porter - BOSS Browar Witnica S.A.
    and
Zywiec Porter - Zywiec Breweries PLC (Heineken)

Both are Polish Baltic Porters... Coming from the guy who digs American and Belgian I/IIPA's, I found them to be quite... er, um, yeah... "good for the style". Although Zywiec rates better on BA, I personally liked the taste of Black Boss more. These two beers are enough for the entire evening for me as they are both considerably strong at 9.5% for Zywiec and 9.4% for Black Boss.

Very potent roasted maltiness, with some burnt dark frutiness and molasses/caramel, they are pretty good beers and leave a really bready residue in my mouth... *good?* I don't know, but not deplorable, haha... I'm content for the time being.

Adding this to my wants list now... Since Halloween, I've been craving Reece's Peanut Butter Cups because I didn't have any. This sounds like a way better alternative. :grinning: I may fall victim to drinking this instead.

Might still be a bit cold. Poured with a decent head but it fizzled pretty aggressively and disappeared like a ninja in the night

Trust me, this low quality cell phone photo doesn't do a thing to capture the beauty of this beer. It's gorgeous.

I found the non-BA version to be quite a bit better than the BA version!
