This isn't a perfect NEIPA, but it has some nuances that make it interesting as f*ck. I would have just typed af, but I didn't want to lose my audience. Anyhow, BAs, I am thankful. I think we all need to take a minute to smell the roses more often. Or the IPAs? Or the sh*t? Or whatever metaphor works for you? You get the point. Cheers!

Outside of rap circles, the name Black Thought is like... huh? However, this is one of the greatest emcees to ever pick up a mic, or pen, for that matter. LARRRGE is an understatement for my man, Tariq.

There's something about this beer I really like. Has peach and orange like notes that I'm enjoying.

I need to revisit SNPA at some point. How can you ever go wrong with that beer? Cheers, brother.

Rogue Outta Line WCIPA, 6.9%, 66 IBU's. I think they nailed the style, but then I live in FL.....

I had a buddy that was getting into craft beer and bought a case of this. Opened one bottle, took a sip, and thought it tasted like a Christmas tree, so he put the case on his porch for anyone to drink when he had company over (meaning that shit def. got skunked).

I remember a time when this was one of the few non AAL beers around. It really does hold up after all these years.

I'd like to see it repackaged under a different name to see what folks thought about it without the name.

Rye barrel edition from @The-Adjunct-Hippie. 3/2018 dating. This was awesome. Great rocky head retention/soapy lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, raisin, plum, fig, cherry, date, apricot, red apple, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, spicy rye whiskey, toasted oak, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of roast, oak char, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and bourbon, rye whiskey, oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, oak tannins, and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth, mild increasing warmth of 10.5%, no lingering barrel booze. Awesome balance between rich dark/bready/rye malts and bourbon/rye barrel presence/integration; with solid citrus/earthy hop presence, and fruity yeast character. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Very impressive for basically being a BA Rye IPA. Did not prefer it over the base beer according to my notes, but it's been 8 years. Will seek out to revisit. 4.1

It's definitely interesting how we perceive beer during our individual journeys.

This single-hopped DIPA featuring the Citra hop from my local is magnificent, IMHO - especially since it was canned yesterday.

I am a happy beer nerd.
