I have started looking for old school APAs since the low-IBU NE-ish IPAs have hit. A rare breed the “true” APA has become.

Serious question, actually:
How do you compare it to Dale’s (to extend the discussion quoted above)?

Bought Lobster at Bar Harbor in Orlando, $6.99 each for cooked lobster, cheaper that 2 burgers and fries at 5-guys.....warming the meat.....

Had no idea what to grab next, trying to pace the consumption of the great beers brought back from the WI trip. Dabble, ice cold and hitting the spot, still "feels like 89" outside now.....

Hope all is well with @DoctorZombies, didn't see a post from him today, maybe me....I'm tired...

 

Full day...tastings at two wineries and one brewery...brisket and ribs at Salt Lick for dinner...now a quick dip in the pool with a blonde from Real Ale:

I was shocked at how long the line was for 2pm on a Tuesday. I was traveling comfortably but there were many folks there in full business formal. I was shocked.

 

Because it's like 50 in Chicago...while watching the Cubs...

 

Yeah, the dunkel is really good. Great malty and nutty flavors with a nice touch of sweetness.

I just saw your review, and I agree that the malts are a bit reminiscent of a brown ale, specifically Brooklyn Brown which was always a favorite of mine.

For some reason I wasn’t getting quite as much out of this one as a previous six pack, but probably the spicy mustard and bratwurst I was eating with it were dominating. Also the beers in this pack look to be about four months old and I have noticed that the flavor of all the beers seems a bit muted compared to ones that were a month old.

Since I love me some lager, von Trapp is one of my favorite breweries in the area along with Jack’s Abby and Notch.

 

Made it to no-mans-land PA and found a wing night and cheap Coors across the parking lot from my hotel. They seem to have some decent bottled offerings... trying to save my Treehouse haul for once I’m home.

Like that’ll happen.
