Incredible stuff. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy limes, citrus peel/zest, lemon, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, vanilla, tequila, toasted oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate honey, agave, wheat, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malt sweetness; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light zesty bitterness, and tequila/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready wheat; some lactic acid/fruit tang; light oak tannins, and salinity in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing acidic/tangy/tannin dryness; zero cloying/pucker. Insanely smooth/soft, not overly lactic/salty. Minimal warming 10%, zero barrel booze. Perfectly balanced between juicy/vibrant limes, Lacto complexity, agave, and tequila barrel presence/integration; with a nice sized rich pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Just as impressive as the Sierra Nevada one, but richer from the high ABV. I am buying at least 2 more packs. This was everything I hoped it would be.

Good morning, BAs! It’s a perfect June day here. Wish it would stay like this all summer. Haven’t had a beer in almost a full week, so will be drinking through my fresh hops today. Starting with this one, canned 5/16.

Good morning Beer Advocates.

Trying out this Tyranena Rocky's Revenge Bourbon Barrel Brown.




It's got chocolate and nuts and roasted malts, both virtually identical in palate and aroma, but it was only half-barrel aged and I don't see the point in that. Don't expect any barrel out of this one!! 3.43 out of 5

 

I am trying Kaiser Pilsner from Mythos Brewery whilst in Athens on vaca....its decent.

 

That is actually a very good beer. I had it at a homebrew share in February, I don't think anyone was underwhelmed in the slightest.

 

That glassware seems to match up with the title of your beer. Somehow, I see it.

 

Steel Toe Size 7 IPA

 

Amazing batch this year as usual. Fantastic lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, no warmth of 7.6%. Feels like Simcoe, Citra, Galaxy. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a great clean bready pale malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering crisp resin dryness. Got 2 packs already, and would buy more. Just as impressive as it ever was since the beginning.
