The $8 to $10 a glass sentiment I can understand a bit, but the other comment is a bit more difficult to discern. Is this his way of saying that he's a hard corer PBR/Rainer Ale/Montucky drinker?

Floodland bottles average $30 each, so I didn't even blink at the pour prices. Adam has a tiny operation and is driving all over the state for local produce, it's not cheap.

You know that and I know that, but my guess is that most of the Seattle Times readership probably doesn't know that. I personally don't think the pricing is unreasonable, but I can see how a lot of folks unfamiliar with Floodland beers might be put off by that kind of pricing (especially if you happen to be a PBR/Ranier Ale/Montucky kind of guy).

Almost any pour of any beer at the Masonry any day of the week is gonna be $8. (But the readers probably don't know that, either.)

Hey, question. When Chris Miller left Snipes, a dude named Chad took over. Chad, within the last couple years has opened his own brewery, either in or near Yakima. What is the name of his brewery? I'm on my phone and didn't feel like scrolling through the list here.

Thanks. I could not come up with it. Maybe I need a new hard drive for my head.

As of yesterday afternoon, the whole Foods in Bellingham had what is likely one of the last kegs of Puyallup River Brewing's beers on tap, Hazey's Comet. If you feel the need to tick.

I have heard a few people in the Thurston county region are sitting on at least a few kegs of Puyallup River.

Did they put out anything that will hold up? Shouldn't they be trying to pour them fresh-ish?

I don't remember them ever doing a barrel aged beer. I liked Puyallup River but lets not kid ourselves into thinking their beer is anything super special that you need to go out of your way to try before it's gone.

Looks like Illuminati Brewing in Bellingham is closing on Saturday. I only got to visit once since moving here but liked the beer and the space. Bummer.

Yup, heard this today. For the record, this is the "new" version of Illuminati. Under original ownership, they were both a winery and brewery. Under current ownership they were just a brewery, but had added a kitchen.

Their biggest hurdle was likely the location. Who is gonna go to the industrial neighborhood at 8pm?

Stemma quietly opened over the weekend. Website hasn't been updated yet though. Haven't swung by yet, maybe later in the week.

As mentioned in another thread, I swung by Stemma yesterday. Nice space that still needs some finishing touches. 4 beers on, all solidly average, but they'll improve over time. They've got a nitro stout coming on by the weekend. They'll be holding a grand opening party this coming Saturday.
