That was it. Absolutely fantastic beer.

As someone who has brewed beer for almost a decade, I have never been able to replicate a low ABV and full bodied with so much flavor as Small Task. I am assuming their water chemistry has a major part in this.

i'd imagine if you emailed the brewery they would help you out who knows though, worth a shot

I'm planning a trip up that way in about a month. It is a kick in the nuts that Suarez isn't open on Thursdays. I would essentially have to add another night to my trip in order to be able to visit Suarez but I'm not sure I can make that happen.

Believe @hopley was able to pick up bottles/cans to go (pre-opening) on a Friday. Granted, Thursday is not a normal operating day, but they may accommodate if someone is present: Shoot them a message -

Yes, @greensparkplug - they were very accommodating - I passed by either the day before they opened, or an hour or two prior to open, and they were there and sold me bottles and cans. I emailed them and they email back as well. Check out this thread maybe a page or so back; I wrote about the particulars there. Good luck, cheers!

Does anyone have any good recommendations on what town to stay when visiting or anything like that?
My gf and I are trying to visting next month, and I'm trying to make the plans now.

Are you looking to stay close to Suarez or would an hour drive be acceptable? If you want in the immediate vicinity, check Hudson. If you dont mind the drive, do Beacon (where HVB is) and make the day trip.

I'd check out availability at The Central House Hotel Inn in Germantown. It's only about a 10 minute ride to Suarez. Bonus: it's right across the street from Dan's brother's restaurant, Gaskins, which is awesome.

Otherwwise, I'd explore Airbnb in the areas of Hudson, Livingston, and Germantown, if you're looking to not have to drive very far.

From my experience, if you plan on utilizing Uber or Lyft to go the breweries, the closer you are to Hudson area, the better. Not a surplus of drivers in the surrounding towns.

Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking Hudson, but was wondering if anything closer made sense so I'll check those out!

Hello! Just returned from a trip up there. Not saying my deal is the best or anything, but we stayed at Beekman Arms Inn (Delemater section) in Rhinebeck. 22 minutes to Suarez (14 scenic/ winding miles).

    Loved it!

Staying there, you can walk to about 1/2 dozen pretty good resteraunts in town, all were great for my 2 and 4 y.o.

I highly recommend Rhinebeck, specifically Beekman Arms. They claim to be longest continuously operated hotel. I think it makes a pretty good base for a Suarez/Sloop acquisition mission coupled with scenic Huson Valley experience.Hope this helps.....

As others have suggested, if you're staying in Germantown, dinner at Gaskins is highly recommended.

Although a fondness for the pale ales via tap, and clear of the canning cycle, will most certainly take advantage of those Crispy Little labels

…Bones Shirt labels are the inevitable tease/a killer
