Never even heard of Turkeyfoot before. Their website doesn't offer a lot of detail and it seems like Front Range Brewing had some similarly named/styled beers. Is that a coincidence or are they related at all?
Either way, it's good to hear that their beers are good. It doesn't look like they distro south yet, so I'll have to wait to try 'em.

So, it doesn't quite fit into this category (or maybe it does?) but the Colorado Kölsch from Steamworks that is brewed by Dry Dock is freakin' fantastic. Seriously - go get you some.

Great Divide has come out with "American Lager". They should have just brought back Nomad.

I just saw that. Their website doesn't mention it. I can't help but notice they don't mention Rumble anymore either...
I love those guys, but they're all about hopping on bandwagons last. Their flavor profiles are back to being fantastic. Hopefully they'll get back to innovating again.

Vanilla Yeti in the tallboy cans was nice. I've seen but haven't tried the big boy yeti that is 13% and in big cans. I think it may be a 25th anniversary can. I haven't seen chocolate oak aged yeti in a while, and wonder if it has been shelved.

Comrade's collaboration IPL with Bierstadt should be filtered on July 8 and on tap at both places.

I think they use lager yeast.

I wasn't going to go there, but that's what I've heard. An authentic Kölsch style ale is lagered anyway, so it fits. I'd say Alt and Kölsch fit fine in here...although legit versions of both are pretty unusual in CO at the moment.

You just gonna casually drop that like it isn't the greatest post ever.

Bierstadt's very first brew was another IPL collab

I assume this is the version in cans around town, is that correct? It’s been a few years since I’ve purchased it, but have liked it and love the can art.

Yup, that's the one. It isn't quite everywhere, but it's readily available throughout the area. There have been some instances where I've been looking for it and couldn't find it, though.

Just canned up a bunch of Cold. Dropping in the taproom July 3. Also, we recently got two 20bbl horizontal tanks up and running, so there will be plenty where that came from soon enough.

Cheeky bastards. If exhumation drops in cans I'll have to find a new beer to drag me up to the taproom...

I’ll tell you what- its Colorado Lager season at my house... had a party Saturday with a lot of friends from out of town and I got a few packs of them and they were destroyed in no time!

Colorado Lager is still one of the best new packaged beers from the last several years. While there were canned lagers available prior to it, they were mostly just overhopped psuedo-pilsners. Odell changed the game with that one. I don't think it's a coincidence that literally everyone has a lager now. Outside of the specialists like Bierstadt there aren't many that can keep up with Odell.

Offscript pilsner from Fiction is well worth a try.
