I feel like their fruited stuff has become more interesting, that's for sure. But converse to that, the tart and sour bite has gotten a lot more apparent, too. I liked where Ryan was going even if others didn't. Probably it's just me.

They usually do, right? It's how Greenshift and Hoppler and the like have been created.

Also, that's my birthday weeked. Wonder if they'd let me haul in my magum of Monkish?

    Coming Soon (on the website):

    Double Gator
Get ready to chomp down on some hops! Double Gator is an imperial version of our beloved flagship IPA, Amalgamator. It’s a full-blown double dry-hopped Mosaic feast!

Also saw that on their LB page. But nothing on their birthday bash as far as can/bottle release.

Always a bit skeptical when they take an already-amazing beer and try to make it "extra." That said, this news makes my dude nips hard.

I remember Melrose Imperiale being pretty good, but yeah not sure it bested the original.

DDH Thrill or DDH Melrose beg to differ though.

Anybody stop in BWSB last week or over this past weekend? I meet up with a friend Friday for happy hour. Its been a long time since my last visit. I had DDH UltraHop 2000 and Greenshift. My bud had CitraHolic. Took one sip and it was way off. Aroma and taste. I asked for a smiggin’ taste and yes there was something wrong with the pour. I could tell from the smell something wasn’t right. I was also disappointed in my usual bbq chicken nachos. The chips were fine. Taste was different from the last time I had it.

Might be the new new chef. Jameson left and the newest guy is back from his vacay. I saw the big wigs at BWLB on Wednesday afternoon with the new chef talking shop.

I haven't had Citraholic in a while, so I can't really offer an opinion on that.

That being said, the BBQ platter for one was definitely great on Friday though. Had that and I was pretty stoked, enough food for me and the SO. Easily.

That didn't last long. Didn't Jameson just return last year?

Yeah, but he immediately got an offer from a place he was wanting to work at for a while. According to what I've heard.

Melrose Imperiale...only had it once but it blew me away. That one was awesome.

The DDH versions of Melrose and Thrillseeker never blew me away. Their ratings on Untappd aren't much different than the originals, either, but take that for what it's worth.

I had that citraholic 6/27 and thought it was an older batch, really muted in flavor.

Which makes sense, the cans I picked up 7/3 were dated 6/27 & 6/28 for gator & citra, so that must've been the last batch.

DDH Thrill after a week blew myself and my friends away to the point we'd make up an excuse to visit one another to clear out someone else's stash of cans.

Fresh though I can understand the ratings being somewhat meh, as I didn't think much of it either but I learned my lesson with their other DDH variants.

Anyone know if the breakfast menu at the Seal Beach location is an all day kind of thing?
