    Hey all,

I'll be visiting NC for a couple of working days, but hopefully will have a little time to sneak some beer/breweries in. Any recommendations on the best in the area? Open to most any beer styles, but wouldn't mind someplace with sours and weisses for my wife. TIA

    Winston-Salem Breweries:
    • Incendiary. New brewery downtown. Solid hazy IPAs, a nice Berliner Weisse series (Death To Kettle Sours), and good adjunct stouts. Pretty hip location.
    • Wise Man. Good variety of styles, all pretty well executed. Their new batch of Tropical Shirts Berliner Weisse is excellent. Gets packed on evenings/weekends.

    • Foothills. The OG W-S brewery with a restaurant downtown and a production brewery/tap room south of town. One of the highest volume breweries in the state, but a little old-fashioned these days. Usually not much in the way of sours or wheats, though.
    Winston-Salem Bottleshops/Bars:
    • Juggheads. An all-NC bottleshop/bar. They drive all around the state to pick up brews from self-distributing breweries out of market. Always a great lineup and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

    • Dogwood Hops & Crops. Another good bottleshop/bar a little closer to downtown.
    Closer to Mocksville:
    • Brewer's Kettle - Clemmons. Good Bottleshop/Bar

I would add Stella Brew to the list of bottleshops.

Surprised no one has mentioned Fiddlin' Fish. Big open taproom/patio with solid beers just about block away from Wiseman. Some friends took us there on the way to Wiseman and was surprised by the quality of the IPAs I had there.

We went to both of these places and I might've liked FF a little more.
