I totally agree. Strawberries with lime and the hoppy flavors were really well done and so balanced.

I still have one in the back of the fridge, you know...for science?

I wasn’t wild about Ribbit but we are probably due for a milkshake, right?

I hope so - been bummed about it ever since I ran out of Galaxy Bowl Riff.

I loved the first two iterations of Unwind Your Mind, but I poured this one down the drain. I do not remember that beer being as sweet as this batch is - it was a complete lactose fest this time around for me

Even my girlfriend, who enjoys sweeter NE IPAs and despises bitter ones, thought it was awful.

I am not certain, but I think this beer was lower in ABV% one of its first iterations

This past August was the last release of original Galaxy Bowl, will history repeat itself?!

A year ago, Unwind was marked a 6.5% DIPA on the can. So it was a misprint one way or the other. I personally find motueka to be very sweet as a hop so I can imagine it would be sweet combined with their typical profile now

I definitely agree on the Motueka profile. I got nothing besides off-putting sweetness with the 5-6 sips that I took from this though. No bitterness whatsoever, and none of the grassy, stone fruit I usually get out of Mosaic. It tasted like an overly-sweet, lactose-y, mess to me - but different strokes for different folks.

They could just be dropping whirfloc into one to clump up all the proteins and take away the haze.

Its probably okay. I can't believe how well these HB milkshakes hold up. Friends popped a year old can of the Hawaiian vibes like two weeks ago. It was totally fine.

Well shit, if I'd have known that I'd have bought another 4-pack or two; my wife and sister were both obsessed with that beer, and I liked it a lot too (despite preferring non-milkshakes).

All their beers hold up very well. It's unfortunate that a lot of people don't understand this and think any ipa needs to be drank within a week.

The problem is that their initial hazy batches famously didn't hold up well at all, so ever since then I've been in the "drink within a month or so" mindset just to be sure.

Yeah no need to worry about that now. The only hazy ipas that I've had an absolute terrible time with going bad within a couple weeks is narrow gauge. Tasted like cardboard after 3 weeks.

There's still plenty of Hazy IPAs that crash after 2-3 weeks.

Huh. I've drank a lot of NG stuff over the last 2+ years - crowlers and cans. Never had that issue. Now, I've had a few from them that I flat out didn't like, but nothing that went bad in a few weeks. Then again, they probably never last 3 weeks in my fridge anyways...

Some of the Hop Butcher stuff gets better 2 weeks to 2 months later. Really depends how much of the harsh bite/rindy hop edge you want. Wait for that to fade and the "juicey" hop flavors become more pronounced...as does the lactose...
