What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2480

Came back from Mexico the other day and saw that Spindletap (Houston) made this available at the retail level and not special release!

Hops Drop is my favorite from Spindletap’s IPA portfolio so I snagged a 4-pack. Haven’t had it in over a year tho. Still fire!

Sounds about right.

 

The pre evolution of a man of beer. One who thinks NEIPA is the Pinnacle of beer. Big beards ultra turbid ale. The kind of people who hate on you for drinking a clear IPA. A reactionary term to haze bro culture.

 

While Julius has been inconsistent since the expansion in Charlton, it’s still a very good beer.

 

As few weeks from its 'best before' date and this is still drinking excellently...really glad I picked this one up. Cheers, BAs!

 

Having another great beer from @bl00 Beekeeper from Burlington Beer Company an IPA brewed with organic honey aged on rum infused oak cubes. Great use of the honey and the rum cubes.

Ascension Ikelos. Incredible NEIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, red apple, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, wood, onion, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy, silky, bready, grainy malts; light sticky hops, and slight resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringent. Amazingly smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.2%. Amazing Mosaic, Vic Secret, and Nelson profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on stuff, one of their best ones. 4.28

Really nice collab between Sand City and the new brewers on the block, 27A. Citric and soft. Alcohol well hidden. Bbqing some chicken and 6 fat fluke filets (I caught another 22 incher!). Cheers.

 

Maybe the the Rinse/Repeat - Nelson? Perhaps my favorite, but I’ve only had a few from the “series”...

 

You don’t descriminate between IPA’s.
