As long as they don't call it a pilsner, I wouldn't be bothered by someone going crazy with fruit and lactose in a lager. I just don't want pilsner to become the next Kölsch. I overheard someone describing Kölsch beers as "another word for a fruit beer" and it made me sad.

What's the word on Grimm? I haven't seen their cans on shelves in a while.

I'm probably getting some of this wrong, but I *think* they were part of the Tivoli distro wing that was disbanded. OR something along those lines.

Someone mentioned it to me about a year ago and that's right around when I stopped seeing their cans in A-town. The Littleton Alamo stopped carrying Master Thief on tap around that same time, too.

That's too bad. They were my fo to for a while there. Wibby and Jack's Abbey have arrived in their stead, so while my German bier needs are fulfilled, I still miss Grimm.

Hopefully we'll see Grimm in Denver again at some point. Their stuff was both unique and legit.

Moondoor is one of my favorites to drink anytime, but I can't always find cans around Denver and don't see much of Wibby on draft. Great place to take a little trip up to though.

I dunno, the Wibby pilsner is working for me (drinking the last of a sixer I got last week). The hops are a bit much; maybe they are a variety I just don't like.

Grimm Brothers came and went in regards to Casper. Then I see a FB post that Farmer's Daughter is being released again. Dammit.

I feel like the normal Wibby lagers I've had have all been good, but they just aren't what I want. I don't know if I can explain it any better than that. It just feels like the flavors they feature aren't the highlights I want from pils, hell, dunkel, etc. I do enjoy the Double Dunkel and Radler, though. I feel like everything is made well and still good, but my tastes and theirs just don't line up. On the other side of the coin, I've always felt my tastes lined up with TRVE. Well, everything except that one 420 DIPA with all of the summit hops.

Any breweries to hit up this week for cans to go? Staying in Broomfield, have a car and don't mind driving.

Thinking about Wibby and Summit tacos tonight or TRVE. Only conditions are I gotta feed the co-worker and looking for cans (no bottles) to go. Sorry Prost. Cheers!

Must be the cultivar (Crystal) because Home Team tops out around 25 IBU. Thank you for giving it a whirl, though! Wibtoberfest will save you soon enough - mark the calendar for September 7th!

Sometimes the heart just wants what it wants!

We really try to occupy the middle of a ven diagram between American ingenuity + German drinkability, so if you mostly set up shop on either end of that diagram, that makes a lot of sense.

Hopefully as you see new stuff from us you haven't encountered yet, something will eventually settle perfectly into your wheelhouse.

Thanks! I always love wibtoberfest, that beer is killer.

In other news, I got a sixer of Prost Dunkel yesterday, and that sucker is nearly gone. I really, really hope prost has their shit together for good, cuz that dunkel may be my favorite local beer. It is just awesome.
