Nearly two months old, this is holding up well. Really well done by Oskar Blues, IMHO.

Rabbit Hole Rapture Brown Ale...heck of a nose on this one, made me think of @vabeerguy (as I often do) and his love of Maduro Brown.

I can’t comment about the renovation work but the grill looks about f’ing perfect.

 

Dedicating a fresh as f Sticky Hands to my friend @JayORear . Why? Because he is fresh as f too, an insanely generous individual, he loves this beer, and most importantly, it was recently his 50th voyage around our burning star. Cheers my friend!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, man.

You know, a couple of days ago, a few BAs told me that another BA had posted some kind of hurtful things on my birthday. So I unblocked his posts after having put him on Ignore for a year, and wow. What he wrote weally, weally hurt. First I cried, then I set up an emergency Skype appointment with my therapist, then I did a dozen lines off @joe1510's bare belly. When I finally came to, I realized I should really give some thought to what I'm grateful for on my 50th birthday. Let's see, I thought . . .

I’m thankful for a 12-year relationship with a badass, adult woman who makes me a better person and would eat most 20- and 30-year old women for breakfast. I’m thankful that last year I was invited to pursue a second advanced degree at the best institution in my field. I’m thankful that I completed my first book proposal. And I’m especially thankful for a number of incredible friendships, both here and IRL, based on integrity, trust, and respect.

But then it hit me, and a dark cloud started to descend: hunting IPAs wasn't at the top of the list of things I'm thankful for. In fact, it didn't even make the list! Holy fuck! I'm going to have to re-do my vision board. It's okay, though . . . @joe1510 just lifted up his shirt, and this time he says that when we're done, we're gonna shotgun Tree House IPAs until we pass out in each other's arms. I'll report sometime tomorrow.
