Thoughts on if the BT box will be more than a hoarders box?

Assuming it's 12 x 375ml, and assuming all pure BT variants (as opposed to blends with cheaper bases), I'm predicting $210 pre-discount. Could easily be more though; that's assuming equivalent of six $35 750ml bottles. Adjunct weekdays are always $40, barrel variants maybe $30, so just aiming in the middle.

The Hoarder boxes are usually $165 before discount, which is roughly the equivalent of three $30 Bruery 750ml and three $25 Terreux 750ml. If you look at the beers and imagine them as 750ml bottles I think that generalization checks out. IIRC the box with BT Grand Reserve was specifically more expensive.

Was hoping for under $200 myself

Do you think there will be 12 375mL bottles in the box? I was assuming 10, since they've been referring to it as BT#10 all along. I do think you're spot on with the $20/bottle price tag (750 mL BT variants @ $40/bottle). So I've been expecting a 10 bottle box around $200. Could be more, though.

I’m expecting it to be just like a hoarders box, 2 each of 6 different beers!

Early pick ups at the Dojo Ultra tasting. That tasting just moved up a notch, as if we weren't already looking forward to it.

    Very pleasant surprise.

I'm just excited to get to try a couple of these BT whales that I keep hearing about. But looking at the pics on IG, the box, and now the bottles, are lined up on a barrel. If we're talking about 10 to 12 bottles, wouldn't they take up considerably more space? Even at 375ml. I've not seen a hoarders box before, so I can't judge the size.

I'm in, regardless. Eating is overrated.

The amount of calories in 12, 375ml bottles of BT is like a weeks worth of food.

Touche. Black Tuesday... the anti-keto diet. High carbs and low fat. I feel myself getting thinner just thinking about it.

Just thinking about packaging logistics, using the existing 12 bottle format of Hoarders Boxes is probably the easiest. Remember they are also very likely doing a 12 Days of Christmas set later this year ahead of the BA 12 Days set next year, so the 12-bottle box format seems established. The more you can stick to the same products and processes the better typically. Plus, 10 bottles doesn't fit symmetrically in a box... unless maybe there were two glasses included?

But, that doesn't mean they don't do a one-off packaging kind of like the slim Preservation boxes with maybe 3-4 bottles to make it more accessible... My bet is on a larger more expensive box though. I don't think they're at all afraid to put up a $200+ item. People will go for it, and it's easier for them presumably to sell fewer large items than a larger volume of smaller items.

    As for this thread....

Very much looking forward to the BT box.

So far I have not bought a single HS Box set. Generally I'm only interested in 2 or 3 of the beers.

But BT set is right up my alley. Plus Pistachio-Vanilla BT is one of my favorite BT variants to date. Looking forward to the unveiling of the rest.

I almost never open or even buy Black Tuesday variants because I don't want an entire 750 ml bottle of 21% beer to myself, so I'm pretty excited that they're in 375 bottles. That's right up my alley. Also, pumped that RS gets a shot at it. 6 different variants would be awesome, 12 would be even better.

I definitely agree that the existing 12 bottle box makes a lot of sense because they already have the packaging. I just thought they might do 10 variants to be inline with the 10 year theme. Maybe 10 variants and 2 splits of 2018 BT? Mmmmm....

In any case, I'm all in for this certain-to-be $200+ box of BT goodness, whatever the format!

Yep, same. I purchased a couple of Hoarders boxes this year, but that's only because I had someone to trade the sours with. That's why I am over the moon to have a Bruery-only Hoarders membership next year!

Really looking forward to this BT box.

Opened a Saule. It's fantastic right now. Heat is gone but it hasn't started oxidizing so the flavor is more like fresh Anniversary without the burn. Still fairly fizzy which holds the sweet cloying body in check. So basically it's Acier now:wink:

Had a Rye Bois last week and it was great. I thought it was my last bottle when I opened it, but have since found another. Really love the anniversary ales and the variants.

Does anyone know when the window to signup for next year ends? I can't seem to find it in the emails.
