    Fantastic IPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with light caramel, lightly toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied/carbonation; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Amazingly smooth/drinkable, not overly aggressive, zero warming 6.25%. Feels like Columbus, Simcoe, Citra in the hop bill. Super juicy, vibrant, dank, earthy on hops. Nice clean malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Love all of the Ellison IPAs. Always keep one of their beers in the fridge. This is my most purchased one so far. Dawn Street is pretty similar as a hazy APA.

    Back at the Swan, drinking cheaply....the Illuminations fireworks show ends 9/30 and a new one starts. Eleven years of that show flew by...... good Sue......yeah, tequila too...

    Brew Detroit Cloud 19. Fantastic NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready malts, some sticly hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness; no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 7%. Fantastic Mosaic, Hallertau Blanc profile. Extremely juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. They nailed it for being their first NEIPA! Will buy more singles for sure.

    Good news today. We thought my son might have broken his forearm Monday night playing football. Just soft tissue damage, doesn't look good though.
