Is there a lot of overlap between BA Day and Huna Day attendees? I feel like there isn't...

I know alot of people that go to AC Rad Beer Thursday, BA day Fri and Huna... We have a group of 5- 6 that have done it the past 2 yrs. Then to Hangover day at 7th Sun.

No because there were several places with awful beer.

How many times are you going to make this joke?

Yeah I'm sure you even bothered to approach any of that "awful" beer, let alone actually drink it

Well the first time it was a joke. The second time it was a vision. Notice how I said everyone is missing the point. I guess you did.

But probably done now. I think I’ve made it as clear as possible.

I dont write it all down in a notebook like you do, but I show up about 30 min after it opened and did not wait in one line. So yes... I had great beer and terrible beer.

The only poor beer tastes I had were from overhyped breweries, and those wouldn't be the first to get cut from the roster in a smaller venue, so you're only going to see potentially better beer getting lost in the downsizing.

A lot of the lesser known, smaller or unhyped breweries had some pretty nice stuff, and a few had surprisingly good stuff to where I seek them out now.

Huna Day is a good fest for your brewery to make a name for itself, and with a smaller venue, there's less opportunity. Hopefully there's some alternative to hosting a similar amount of breweries and attendees that isn't yet apparent to the rest of us.

Not sure how this is a response to me... all I stated was that there was some beer there that was not good...

CCB updated the website to show ticket sales are on the 25th of November. I have a group of 4-5 friends trying to come down this year for the first time. I remember reading something about 8 tickets per lottery winner, is that a true statement? Thanks for the help, just trying to understand how tricky it will be to get our whole group in.

Hunahpu’s day hasn’t sold out the same day as tickets were released since 2016. You won’t have an issue.

I’ve never heard of there being a lottery.

Being inside the tiny little hockey arena, things might be different this year...

So they've done coffee+hazelnut Hunas at the fests before, I wonder if this will be the regular or barrel aged version. I liked the barrel aged one in 2018 the best, but not because of the barrel or even hazelnut presence, the coffee stood out the most in that version and a good punch of coffee to the Huna base really does special things for me.

If it was barrel aged they’d probably have said barrel aged. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a BA version.

Agreed, it won’t be BA. None were last year

As long as it has a Caffe Americano level of coffee I'll be in heaven. They've been avoiding bottling coffee treated Huna for far too long.

Xquic was a coffee maple variant in last years Huna 12 bottle set. It was excellent.

Hazelnut often comes across as artificial and overpowering in my opinion so not sure how I feel about a hazelnut variant. Could be good though, the maple in Xquic was restrained and didn’t come across as artificial so hopefully this one will be restrained as well.
