Haven’t had a chance to have anything from Tilted Barn but have heard great things. Of course they opened 5 months after I moved from RI back to LI. I’ll be back for a wedding at the Towers next year and plan on making the trip one day.

Proclamation also opened 3 weeks after I left. 5 mins from my grad building.

And then to pour salt on the wounds, Grey Sail produced their first batch of Captains Daughter a month after I left. That beer was tough to get for the first year.

Anyone know what that beer is between ACE and Triple SD in today's IG story?

That’s the Bloomfield Zoo I kept asking if anyone had tried. I bought a 4 but yet to try so ironically can’t help you on the taste front yet either haha

Preciate it. If no ones yet to comment, don't think I'll risk it. Fixing to burn all my money at Folksbier this weekend.

Rear of taproom reeks of Wild Thai bananas, I hope they're going into a "sour" next, don't think I can stand anymore banana stouts.

It’s so confusing. No mention on this forum. Not listed on BA or untappd. It’s like it doesn’t exist. Maybe everyone else knows something I don’t. Today’s movie - Rounders. Listen - here’s the thing. If you can’t spot the sucker [weak palated biatch] in your first half hour at the table [bar], then you are the sucker.

Edit - in an incredible twist of fate I walk in the door and my wife is drinking one. So trying it now. Solid. What you’d expect from a multi-hop non-tose 10%er. No more/no less

I smelled the Bloomfield can and am able to confidently report it tastes like beer, likely an OH beer. Weak as I am to the power of suggestion I got another taster of banana orbit... y'all that didn't get banana are fucking crazy, this is pureed banana baby food, even when cold. Fight me with fistfuls of banana peels, Advocates!

Ugh, wish I hadn't looked at your edit before rolling thru. Now intrigued.

Doesn’t that Have to now figure in to the household budgeting?

We actually stayed in Narragansett right by the Towers. Tilted Barn is about 20-30 min drive from there, so not bad at all. I wanted to hit Proclamation and Love Live, but we didn't have a whole lot of time and prioritized time on the beach over time in breweries. We ate dinner at Mews in Wakefield one night, and they had a lot of local stuff on tap. My wife really liked a berliner weisse from Beer on Earth. I never heard of them, but someone on the Tilted Barn thread mentioned they took over Long Live's old space. Proclamation's stuff was in a lot of bottle shops, so I grabbed 2 4 packs of Derivative.

Yeah, right? I like how she put on the accounting glasses and broke out the 2 year budget when he comes home with a 4 pack, but isn't shy about drinking it. I call foul.

At a height of nearly 90 feet, the Smith-9th St stop is actually the highest subway station in the world if you can believe it. When exiting the train, I strongly recommend a slow and careful descent down the lengthy stair-escalator-escalator-stair pathway and for the rest of the walk down 9th, Smith, and Centre.

Not only will you expose your shameful nature by conspicuous hustling, you'll commit the sin of forgetting that great beer never runs out these days at Other Half. We go faster by going slow.

This is the kind of attitude that makes you lose the last 4 pack to ACE to @jrnyc and his cart.

Lived in Gansett for a few years by Pt Judith and frequently biked 8 miles to Mews to avoid a DUI. That place is amazing and I’ve had some of my “revolutionary” beers there.

Wakefield Liquors down the block was my go to distributor at the time. Got an entire case of 2013 BCBCS there.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than "losing" the "last" 4-pack of a "limited" release to someone like him, a good guy of admittedly advanced age who probably deserved it.

None of us are ever entitled to anything; and the next release, just as good as the current or the previous ones, is always just around the corner. I'm loathe to keep beating the same drum in front of the same audience, but FOMO is finally dead once and for all, is it not?

Ha ha! Last year or so I made the lengthy trip to OH, somehow DDH ACE sold out while I waited in small line, as I got in to warehouse they waved me in to back table, I spotted a rogue 4 pack of DDH ACE on floor, I didn’t want to be a dick and jump to other counter so kept going straight, was going to point to last 4 pack but sure enough worker in that counter spotted it and person grabbed last 4 pack and rejoiced like they found the golden ticket in Willy Wonka.

Learned my lesson that day, most of you think the purple bag is meant to carry beer, I have a portable parachute in there, when I get off F, I parachute off the side of the tallest subway stop in the world to save some time. #nevergetshutoutagain

Many of us still have PTSD from getting off subway at Smith street and peering over the wall to see if there is a line. FOMO is mostly gone, but kicks into gear as that train pulls into station.

Well, that would explain this peculiar sight I recently captured looking back toward the station from Smith and Garnet.

Can someone tell me if that's Malcolm supporting him from behind? I'm guessing not, given the absence of spandex. Maybe it's one of his grandsons?

If so, it was thoughtless of him not to wear that green custom T-shirt @jrnyc gave him. Could have been the last time they ever saw each other.
