Bruery RS/HS Allocations (2019)

I for one, don’t miss the wax. I hate wax on my beer and wine. Pain in the ass to open and has no affect on the oxygen getting into the bottle. Plus, it costs a fortune to wax as many bottles as the Bruery produces at that price point.

But I totally agree with what was said above about label material. BT and it’s variants should absolutely have metallic foil labels. Those labels also cost a ton but it’s totally worth it.

 

I'm a DC hoarder and I got the email with the October previews. What did your email say?

 

Mango fire you say? I drank one and did not like it. Super hot, barely drinkable (imo) and was very unsettling for my stomach, haha. I have 1 more can left FT

I like some heat, but not over the top. Glad that others appreciate it though.

 

Cuvée it with a Mango Charms or other Bruesicle to dilute the heat a bit.

 

To be fair, I tasted it at the Black Tuesday party last year which is not the best environment to do a fair beer rating. With that in mind, BT Spice Island came in at the low end of Very Good at 2018 BT Party. Contrasting that with Pistachio Vanilla which was excellent and tied for the best of the day for me with BT Monstra coffee at the 2017 BT party.

I'm certainly willing to revisit it.

For me this is a decision of not should I get a box or not, but how many. I'm starting to lean toward one.

Yes, in theory. But I wouldn't want to ruin my perfect mango charms.

I did something similar with my juicing about a few years ago. I used a jalapeno and apparently that jalapeno was super spicy that day. So bad, the batch was undrinkable. Then I made another batch to dilute the heat, and it didn't really work out...

When I meant barely drinkable, I meant I didn't enjoy it much, not a bad brew. I slowly drank it.

I have 1 left, will find someone who will appreciate it more than me.

 

My only question about the BT box is how many boxes can HS purchase? 3 , 4 ?

 

Easy to mistake since the design is for screen print on a bottle so kinda looks like a can label.

More importantly, when is the HS allocation window? Having an HS allocation window starts to lose its value if you keep it a secret until the last minute..

" The Black Tuesday Box will be available to current Hoarders and Reserve Society members in their allocations starting on October 9th."

So I assume the HS window starts on the 8th?

 

Thought if Grand Reserve will only be 1 included or 2 do to the size? Hoping for 2

 

Or the 9th(wed) for hoarders and Thursday for reserve?
