    I really, really needed some relaxation this afternoon. Just not in a great spot emotionally - just anxiety, nothing dangerous. But a big imperial stout, an AB cigar (not even my favorite!), and some tunes on the acoustics have really helped a lot.

    Seeing the gf and her kiddo tonight, and cooking them dinner, will also help. In the meantime, I'm going to look for my next chemical relaxant in the fridge and be back in a moment. :grinning:

    Started with some heavy, dark stuff; moved on to some lighter acoustics. Cheers!




    Edit for the curious: Takamine guitar; Taylor acoustic bass (my favorite instrument outside of my piano - even more than my Ludwig kit!)

    Goose island IPA. Honestly better than what I remember the first time I had it. I suspect the first pour i had wasn't the freshest.

    I imagine the other breweries in town that are congratulating them on finally having their on taproom are actually thinking “oh shit”. I know I have with most of the beers we have tried today. Especially that oak aged sour with peaches from my neck of the woods

    Covert Artisan Ales Peach AF Sour, 6.25% ABV. Pours bright orangish yellow, with a ring of white bubbles. Nose is peaches. Taste is mostly tartness, with slight peach. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. With the name, I had expected more peach flavor, but pretty subtle.

    This is a new brewery that opened out of a warehouse earlier in the summer. My first time here. They're opening a taproom in the Sioux Falls beer district, so I expect the one at the brewery will close.
