Awful might be a tad strong for the float on, but it's awfully unremarkable and forgettable. Even the bartender at BS was unable to come up with anything positive to say about the beer.

On the other hand, the Bend Brewing fresh trop I'm currently drinking is quite good. I'm glad @distantmantra put me on to it.

Breakside in Slabtown has french presses of fresh hops for your beer if you need the freshest hops possible. I think it was $10 for 22oz of a regular beer or $12 for 20oz of a fresh hop beer. I'm not sure if it's actually a randall or if they're using a regular french press, but if you put beer in a french press and compress it, all the CO2 is going to be forced out. Hmm.

Also Von Ebert in the Pearl finally has FH Volatile Substance on tap. Good beer but didn't get a ton of FH character out of it.

Mirage's Bentley Truck has to be a troll attempt. Mosaic fresh hop IPA with pureed blueberries? Just tastes like a fruit beer.

For those who might be interested in such things, just got an alert that Belmont Station tapped a keg of FH Bodhi.

Am having a pint as I’m typing this. No surprise, it’s one of the best of the season. Me thinks Georgetown knows what they are doing with hops

Having a Structures FH Vivid now. They call it a West Coast IPA, and it does have some bite, but it one of the densest murkbombs I've ever seen.

Delicious FH beer and incredibly drinkable I thought.

Stopped by Deschutes in NW PDX. FH Mirror Pond is one of the first FH beers i ever had so I always like to revisit it from time to time. Well, just so I don’t turn this post into a yelp review......

FH hop trip wasn’t very good (couldn’t detect any fresh hops). Not terrible, but a very average beer

FH mirror pond was worse. Not sure if the recipe changed or if it’s my pallet. But this tasted like not much of anything, especially fresh hops. Juxtaposed to the FH bodhi I had yesterday, these aren’t in the same universe

Left both beers 1/2 drank, settled up, and migrated to Higgins

Also, they did change the recipe on the beer nuts which were also pretty bad.

Having a FH Crikey now, canned 9/10/19. very nice, but not overwhelming. The Citraslicker I had a few nights ago is still in the lead as best of the year for me.

The first year Holy Mountain did Wetwired with Cloudburst there was a line of about 20 people waiting outside the brewery for growlers.

Probably not very helpful to you, but On Tap here in Bend was pouring their keg yesterday. Instant top 3 for me this year.

Would a FH beer bottled in September '19 still count as fresh?

Because this Garden Path The Wet Hopped Ship is pretty damn good. Foudre aged, nice and tart. Good hop flavors.
