    This will do nothing to dispel my status as a resident contrarian, but when Rochester can augment a midweek drop of Hop Showers with some canned stouts that the mother ship failed to deliver just last week, among others, then that facility is arguably one of the best things that's happened to us.

    Less is more, except when more is more. And I'd recommend putting those pitchforks and misplaced outrage back into storage.:slight_smile:

    Side note: On my way out, I couldn't help but notice the guy at the door appeared to be checking out this thread on his phone. I know it comes as no surprise, but they really are watching us...

    I wish I could care more for the Vanilla Stout. Perhaps Coffee + Maple is better.

    Yeah... I made the same mistake. It’s now in the “bring to other people’s house who don’t care that much about beer but will love this stout” category.

    hop showers with galaxy tho... mmmmmmm

    ‘nilla can sometimes work, but the minority of the time*

    for me personally, maple practically never works

    *funnily enough went to Gold Star yesterday and had Dusk by Blaze Brewing. Never heard of the beer of the brewery, but that was an 8% milk stout with vanilla and thought it was excellent. Relatively dry.

    I do think vanilla is fairly overrated in stouts, but I love me some maple. Peanut butter is my favorite, but it's hard to get right.
