Kinda proves my mild point about "not seeing them" since a) it ain't the 19th century and b) I don't hang out with Amish dudes (habitually); not that there's anything wrong with them.
    cheers!

Yes, I know I'm a month late. But have you ever tried melting it off? Blowtorches are amazing.

Lol, nooo, but I’m sure my wife would shit her pants if I happened to have a torch handy.

Just wait until she goes to the bathroom. You'll get caught, but it'll totally be worth it.

My suggestion is the opposite: stick the bottle in the freezer (or pack the neck in ice) for a few minutes. Makes the wax brittle, comes off easy.

That sounds like a much better idea. But I so love burning things. Come to think of it, I might have a problem.

Don’t you guys just have your manservant take the wax off for you? I mean, he’s doing the pouring isn’t he?

I’m sure his wife appreciates the no hair around the lips and such in so many many ways. If Amish do that kind of stuff of course, it could lead to bursting into flames.

Perhaps a better article title would be: "Will craft brew culture survive the ***** Generation?"

Isn't that the generation that created craft beer? You know, those children of the 60s who had no wars to get called off to, cheap school, cheap housing, prosperous economy where the many manufacturing jobs could provide a highschool graduate with the income to buy a home, two new cars, and support a family of 5 with a slide staying home? Who are you talking about?

Some members of my family retired with 7 digit accounts, big cars, beach and or mountain second homes. On a HS diploma. They worked their asses off, they sweated, but the economy of the 50,s, 60s might never be duplicated again. You went to work at Bell Telephone, US Steel, GM and worked 30 years then retired in luxury at 50-55 years old. Now you work to 70 .

They're all kinds of ways to be a citizen. Most of us are hard working and doing so for family and the future promise.
My Dad was a great Army officer and was truly damaged by what he did as a decorated soldier. He told me he would never go camping because he had done that too many times. He was driven and very successful in business. Because of my Father's great courage in the war and his truly winning personality, I have benefited. I do not take this for granted, but hope to be somewhere nearly as good as he was. Yes.

We’re who we are because of where we come from, your father paid a price for your success. Willingly too. I might add we all prospered from your fathers dedication to country and family. I’m guessing we’re about the same age, I lost an uncle killed in Sicily who probably spoke very little English, another wounded on Iwo Jima. That generation was truly special and in my opinion saved the world at a time when Europe was literally on fire.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was Gen X. You know, cynical, doesn't trust anyone, nothing matters, might as well just get drunk. But it better taste good.

When was gen X born? I place the start of the modern craft era in the middle/late 80s, meaning the founders were likely born in the 60s..
Mostly I'm just curious who the "***** generation" is
